- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 259 reviewsThe views are amazing, the property was just perfect and there is a footpath leading up to the town. The employee who was there on our stay took hospitality to the next level. He was attentive and so kind. Our remote didn’t work for the tv and I kept forgetting to tell him and we came back to our room done up and the remote already changed. The breakfast menu was amazing and so good!Guest review byNicholeUnited States

Lynton and lynmouth are just beautiful places to visit. Plenty of great pubs and places to eat set in a very picturesque environment. The cliff railway was interesting to ride on and the Exmoor visitors centre was very informative. The valley of rocks was amazing to visit.Guest review byBob ThorntonUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Beautiful location, loved the river and listening to the water at night, plenty of lovely walks, used the cliff railway up to Lynton a bit expensive as cannot purchase return tickets, we travelled easily to many locations, nice shops in lynmouth, but you cannot purchase food essentials, Lynton has 2 shops for food essentials but expensive, we travelled to the supermarket or you can do online saw plenty of delivery vans, eating out in lynmouth advise book in advance .Guest review byDENTON - 8.0

Porlock is a charming village, there are plenty of restaurants , the weir is well worth a visit great pub and old interesting buildings. Take a climb up Porlock Hill or for a more sedate route try the estate toll road, lovely views across the estuary. Visit nearby Lynmouth, Lynton and Minehead all within easy reach. Having visited many times Porlock still retains character and is typically English.Guest review byLynneUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Dunster is a beautiful old village with many interesting features. Not all, however, are wheelchair accessible. The Dunster Castle and gardens are lovely to walk around, but some steep paths and steps. NT provide a free scooter, which makes access much easier. I advise pre-booking as I believe they only have two. Minehead is 2 miles away, and Dunster Beach is 1.5 miles. There are buses to Minehead, Taunton and Blue Anchor Beach.Guest review byMargaretUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Small village but with 2 pubs with rooms, large common area, general shop and a tack store selling a surprising range of goods. There's also a garage, in case.the car needs it and a number of pleasant walks radiate from the village.Guest review byPhilUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Dulverton is a wonderful small town located in the middle of some beautiful countryside. There are all the shops you need with coffee shops, a fish and chip restaurant/takeaway and more. There are many car parks if you cannot find on street parking. As a solo traveller, I felt completely safe and there are lots of walks around the town to take a stroll with or without a dog. The river runs through Dulverton and there is a small area where you can sit and relax. It is very accessible to the moor and coast although if you are in a larger vehicle/camper-van, the roads are narrower. It can rain - and it did! I just enjoyed being back home and visiting friends and the old haunts. Just remember to pack proper footwear and a mac!Guest review byRuthUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Beautiful location in a river valley, accessible by narrow lane, but really tranquil, no passing traffic Lovely old inn with lots of character, but comfortable and spacious. Good for walkers and dog owners. We walked along the river to Withypool, 8 miles there and back. We ate at the hotel, breakfast, dinner and afternoon tea. There was also plenty of refreshments in the rooms and excellent WiFi connection. Hilary and her staff were very friendly and helpful.Guest review byJanetUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We booked the accommodation for ourselves and our daughter and son in law. As soon as we arrived the place and area looked wonderful. The accommodation is of a high standard with everything you need and it’s central to areas you would like to visit ie watersmeet, Lynmouth , Minehead. We were not that far away from Exmoor which was lovely to drive through and stop to take photos, seeing the wildlife was the added bonus. Where the accommodation was the Exmoor Inn offered food and drink, plus dogs are welcome. We were there the first night and had a lovely meal, the staff were very attentive and professional. We will definitely be backGuest review byJulietUnited Kingdom - 10.0
