The location was excellent, short walking distance to shops and pubs, and a bonus, the Old Golf Course, was a mere 5 minute walk. Our room was very well appointed, with all the modern comforts. Not a thing was out of place. The manager Angus was also instrumental in making our stay a fantastic one. He was so helpful, and assisting us with many things. 🤗👍. Our next trip back to St. Andrew’s will surely be, to stay at the Arran.

This was our second stay and as delightful and comfortable as last years. This time we had a smaller room in the older part which was just as nice as the larger one we had last time. But the best part is always the breakfast (the salmon and avocado on sourdough are awesome) and dinner at the rooftop restaurant which we always enjoy at least once during our stay. The staff is always friendly and so helpful and goes the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. Also, this year we used the valet parking and our electric car was charged automatically by hotel staff - this is excellent service. We'll be coming back later this year and next year.

Outdoor seating allows guests to sit outside and enjoy the good weather. I had a great stay at Asal family House. Since I had a car it was perfectly positioned for a nice tour in Fife (the first day) and Stirling (next day) I had no problem parking in the street (for free) every day just in front of the house. Edimburgh airport is 35 minutes away, so it was easy to return my car. The room is very comfortable and bathroom just in front of it. Very quiet at night, I had perfect nights of sleep. Owners were absolutely lovely and caring, made me feel at home. Very quiet and lovely dog too :) I definitely recommend.
