The amenities ((wow there was even a ping pong table , pool table and PlayStation) , the cleanliness, the friendly chatty employees, the simplicity of checking in, the rooms that even had screen cast! The bed was rlly comfortable and even the shower gel was smelling propa tastey! The area was also rlly good! And close to a few bars which we liked :))

what a magnificent hotel. every room is different. all have so much character. this old building feels a bit like hogwarts. I am sure some of the stairs moved, and some of the pictures talked. we spend hours roaming around the hotel looking for hidden gems like the reading room and even the gym (not really a gem but it was fun looking for it). breakfast is a bit pricey for what you get but the room and the buffet are beautiful. staff is amazing, funny, smart, nice and professional. I would definitely come back. hopefully soon.

Really lovely venue. Local pub vibe but with nice cosy rooms. I stayed in one of the pods and it was warm, safe and secure with good parking outside. The restaurant on site you can book a table in is cosy and there is table ordering if your Sat outside. There is a shop and coffee shop on site as well. Very easy to locate and almost directly on the loch so you can easily start a hike from the venue out round the lake. Overall a great stay and would recommend for a get away. Fantastic staff as well, felt very looked after.

    Buildings in need of whitewash.

Buildings in need of whitewash. Gorgeous architecture but the drunkards in the streets and the lack of sanitation ( rubbish lying around ) brings the city down. There’s a feeling they could be great but can’t be bothered. People seem to lack ambition or direction. Super wealthy living there behind closed doors. Gorgeous indoor spaces, but only accessible to people with money. Needs a lot of work to become a world city which is a shame considering that after Liverpool it was the 2nd wealthiest city in the uk at one point.

Paisley is a beautiful town with so much culture and history. It is a university town, a cathedral town and a town with beautiful buildings and a great heritage. The Paisley pattern was milled in the town of Paisley, therefore the name, Paisley pattern, The public transportation is excellent and the train station is right in the center of town, well you can take a train into Glasgow in 10 minutes and have access to trains going all over Scotland and the UK. I highly recommend a visit to this beautiful place.

Nothing to do with the location ..but..the bus from Buchanan bus station dropped us off on the outskirts of Balloch on a very busy duel carriageway..which took ages to cross safely..why don't they terminate in Balloch's own bus station...much safer as we had to walk 15 mins to get to our accomodation in rough tarain... I'd hate to think of elderly people having to endure this ... shocked to be honest...nothing to do will The Tillie Inn..maybe something should be changed to prevent this.as it has put me off getting the bus...

I believe East Kilbride is country side so there was not much to do, or places to visit. There is a good transport network from Glasgow central. If you want to go somewhere quiet in Scotland then i will recommend you visit east Kilbride. To get to the hotel you will have to go through a shopping mall where you have every thing. Coffee shops, restaurants and others.

Staff at the village shop were lovely and even took our photo as we just got married the day we arrived. Chris was very welcoming anytime we needed anything from the wee shop.
