Breakfast was outstanding. Staff were outstanding and so helpful. Location was listed near town, but it was far from town. It was, however, near the beautiful Cobo Bay, with the most beautiful sunsets.

The hotel is not fully obliged to answer the transportation difficulties encountered by guests, but the response given to me by the staff member of this hotel named Trond is a textbook example of customer service. He listed in detail the current operating status of each ferry company on this route and gave me the option of flying. The names and information of each ferry company and airline he mentioned were very accurate and exactly the same as what I had learned before. In the end, I found a piece of information about Newspaper Boat in his answer, which helped me travel from Guernsey to Jersey without delaying the subsequent trip. Thank you very much!

FAQs about hotels in Guernsey

Enchanting Island of Unspoilt Nature

The 2nd largest Channel Island, Guernsey has a rugged coastline, unspoilt countryside and secluded beaches. Although a dependency of Britain, its proximity to Normandy’s shores means that it has a distinct French feel.

Home to the greatest number of Guernsey hotels, St Peter Port – the island’s capital – is the arrival point for ferries from England, France and the other Channel Islands. Looking back at the multi-coloured buildings across the harbour is Castle Cornet, protectively guarding the town.

Just south is beautiful Fermain Bay whose sand and pebble beach is sheltered by tree-covered cliffs. Neighbouring St Martin’s parish has a couple of Guernsey hotels with swimming pools, by the coast and inland. West is St Saviour parish where Guernsey Airport is located.

In the north the coastline is flatter and the beaches longer. Once such beach is at Cobo Bay in Castel parish, where long swathes of sand are lined by a sea wall. Vale to the east has a castle perched precariously on the cliff edge.

Booking.com has an excellent selection of guest houses and hotels in Guernsey, an island small enough to be explored in one trip. Whilst you’re travelling around, look out for the brown-and-white Guernsey cows, and the bright blue post boxes and telephone boxes.

Good location for visiting the Island.

Good location for visiting the Island. Able to walk to Fermain Bay from here and then round the Bay to St Peter Port. A few handy shops too and a Methodist Church. Fermain Bay hotel is a great location for eating or just having coffee if you can’t make it down the hill to the Fermain Bay cafe.

Like the quietness of the Vale, away from the town centre, tucked away at the end of the island. I love the location of the peninsula hotel facing the ocean, the sun rise is amazing in the early hours of the morning all golden really beautiful. Going to the town centre you need a bus , it runs hourly week day and 2hourly week end. Taxis are hard to come bye and expensive, book with the hotel 24rs pre. The food in the hotel is nice but a bit pricey you don't really have much choice no nearby restaurants.

It’s a great place for families who love beach holidays. It’s also great for those interested in history with all the occupation places to visit. There are plenty of good places to eat. We when to Crabby Jacks which has a varied menu. The local kiosks are also great places for a snack. It’s easy to get around either by car or public transport which is very regular. Lots of people came with bikes.

There were many things to see and do from museums, a castle, great food and spectacular roads. Fresh seafood was amazing. Found a great little gin distillery too. The roads are scary, very narrow and lots of road works. Don't drive there if you are not happy reversing. We struggled to get to some places due to the roadworks everywhere.
