Location-wise is the perfect place to enjoy the magnificent sandy beaches of Harris.

A very warm and confortable place, very well furnished, very well located. The fireplace is a must. The owners are very nice : we found fresh eggs and cakes when we arrived.

We tremendously enjoyed staying at the Old Post Office, which is most likely the cleanest, the coziest and by far the best equipped holiday home we’ve ever stayed at. We loved the tranquility and the remoteness very much indeed and we greatly enjoyed the garden and the exceptional view from the wee entrance room (where we actually spent most of the time because of the view). The cottage is very tastefully decorated with lots of arts/ items from local business. It was nice to see these businesses being supported this way. I liked the different scents in the rooms. The accommodation was really really comfortable. I honestly did not want to leave. The outdoor space was great for enjoying the sunsets and dark skies. The location is ideal for exploring Uist, Lewis, boat trips and the whole of Harris. Lots of garden birds in the garden enjoying having baths in the burn (I watched them from the stone seat).Excellent local shop just 1 minute down road.

The Fisherman's Hut is a truly unique place to stay when you're spending your holiday on Harris/Lewis. The locations is really the best to venture into any direction, the views of the highest mountain and the loch are stunning. If you want to go for a little walk along the road or into the fields, it's all there. The little hut has literally everything you could imagine, the bed is comfy (great mattress!), the kitchen is equipped with all you need, and the bathroom has nice warm water from the shower. You have your own parking spot and even a little beach (if you should feel like going for a swim). All in all, this is probably the most memorable place we'd stayed during our trip through the Hebrides and we would return anytime.

Views Seals sleeping on a large rock, sea eagles, otters and dolphins. Peaceful and quiet. Lovely big clean rooms with comfy beds. Hosts are very helpful and go the extra mile to make you feel at home. Very relaxing. The beaches are stunning, the sea is turquoise and the sand is white, it was like having a tropical beach all to yourself, without the sweltering heat. Just perfect.
