Great spot, centrally located. Lovely room, skylight in very clean, modern bathroom (upside of being on the top floor - had to climb a few flights of stairs which was fine for me with light bag). Asked and received early check in - thank you. Anne happened to be there and was very friendly and helpful.

Beautifully appointed and super spacious room. Was upgraded to a sea view room, which was absolutely delightful. Breakfast was a nice spread of options and coffee with larger dishes for purchase, I was fine with what was provided. Convenient to have a restaurant on site for a late bite or glass of wine before turning in. Staff were all super helpful. Can walk everywhere in town from here.

We absolutely loved our balcony room overlooking the beach. The bed was very large and very comfortable. The staff were all really kind and accommodating. The bar area by the fireplace is super cozy, and we snagged the couch by the fire the two evenings we were there. The breakfast was delicious and portions are generous. The hotel is ideally located right by the beach and the town of Deal. We will definitely be back!

Proximity to the beach and local attractions. Sea views and the sounds of the wind tinkling through the boat masts at night. Decent size shower room including soaps and good quality towels. Comfortable beds with cotton sheets and pillows that were neither too soggy or too firm. Thoughtful inclusion of a couple of deck chairs. Like the mini fridge too, very handy.

We booked an overnight stay as we have stayed at the hotel before several times and found that it’s a good central location for the harbour etc. the buffet was disappointing. It was much better the previous time we stayed. The food was not enjoyable. We enjoyed the evening entertainment, so we will return and skip the buffet dinner.

The Dover Castle was lots of fun and was well organized for visitors of all ages. The war tunnels on the other hand were poorly organized and should be reorganized in order to help make them more interesting. The films on the walls explaining the historical events were difficult to understand due to the echo. The significance of the tunnels could be made more hands on for the younger generation to grasp. The Cliffs of Dover- easily a days experience and excellent hike and picnic opportunities along the way.

Debbie is an excellent hostess - her breakfast spread is above par in presentation, taste and portions. She has a bubbly character and is generally very concerned with each guest's comfort during the stay and appetite at the breakfast table. The rooms were spacious and well equipped with snacks and toiletries. Should I need to be in the Ashford area, I will definite choose her B&B for the entire duration of my stay.

Good choice of shops and restaurants. Good transport links if no car, i.e. regular buses for local trips or nearby towns including Hastings and Tunbridge and Railway Station (Hastings an hour away by train). Worth a visit to Museum and Art Gallery. Lovely parks including Calverley Park - easily accessible from town (walking) for a coffee or ice cream! Enjoy!!

My wife and I were born and brought up in Kent, so think it's special, even though we moved away years ago. Margate has developed extensively on the back of the Turner gallery, but there is also much to admire off the beaten track, particularly as the once-tired traditional seaside resorts, like Folkestone become more popular. Less well advertised attractions like the Wildwood Trust or the Brogdale National Heritage fruit tree collection are well worth a visit. Towns like Faversham and Whitstable have managed to retain their traditional feel with small specialist shops,
