The Daffodil Hotel and Spa offers contemporary luxury on the shores of Grasmere water, located in the heart of The Lake District and just a short walk into Grasmere village. The hotel is luxurious with really comfy rooms, and located in a perfect spot on the lake, the view is stunning, the garden, the lake, the mountains... everything. The staff are really friendly and informative, they are pretty busy too. You can see a receptionist waiting tables at lunch.
Set in beautiful grounds near Lake Windermere in the village of Bowness, The Burnside Hotel & Spa has an on-site spa with poolside seating and a bar, two hot tubs, a sauna, a steam room and a plunge... Our check-in process was incredibly smooth, we were walked directly to our room and instructed on how to use our rooms facilities. We wondered around for a little bit and quickly found the bar which had incredible views of Lake Windermere. Our next stop was the spa, which was extremely relaxing and exactly what we needed. We had also booked dinner for the evening in the restaurant, the mood was perfect for a romantic meal - ideal for my partners birthday. We ended the evening by ordering some drink to our room which we enjoyed from the comfort of the hot tub on our balcony with evening views of the lake. A perfect end to our trip to the Lake District.

In the heart of the Lake District national park, Haweswater Hotel has a bar and a lake view terrace. Brasserie 37 overlooks the lake and offers a menu of local, seasonal produce. So you might some reviews about loud music playing until mid night but if you pick a quite room on 2nd floor maybe room 9 you won't hear much. We loved the hospitality of the staff. The room was clean and came with a boiler, tea, pressing iron and toiletries. Breakfast was good if you like a std English breakfast. WiFi was a bit slow in the evening but worked. If you can't get a hotel in lake district and dont mind driving down an hour away then this can be a good option to stay. The hotel has a free parking as well.

We stayed in the old part of the building in a lovely and very spacious room with a comfy bed. The hotel is located just outside Kendal and a about a 20 minute drive from Windermere and therefore in a good spot to discover the Lake District from. Right behind the hotel there’s a woodland walk that is also worthwhile doing. There’s a really nice restaurant in the hotel that serves fantastic food and there’s also a pub with a beer garden just outside the main building for something a bit more simple.

Friendly and competent staff, pleasant and incredibly convenient hotel for traveling the Lake District by public transportation! Right across the street from the train and bus stations, as well as the information center. Our Standard room was basic but immaculate, and the ensuite had a tub/shower combination. Breakfast buffet was good, though I'd suggest an alternative fruit selection (something besides stewed prunes and grapefruit sections). I've already recommended the hotel to others.

This was a lovely place to stay. There was ample parking and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bathroom was huge and the bedroom was enormous and the view from the room and the hotel terrace was stunning. The hotel has lovely grounds and is centrally located to travel the lake district. The service was very good and the food (breakfasts and dinner) was excellent. I would happily stay at this hotel again

Lovely hotel smack in the middle of Keswick . Surrounded by beautiful countryside with easy access to so many walks . The staff were fabulous. My elderly mother was with us and they could not have been more helpful . Everyone was so kind and thoughtful, it made our stay very special . It is also insanely dog friendly so our dog had the best time too . We will absolutely come back next time we are in Lake District

Had fab stay at this hotel with my family 7 of us. We stayed for just for one night transit as before continue our journey to Lake District and thereafter to Edinburgh. Booked 2 family rooms and both were comfy. Breakfast was good only that we had no choice but to order vegetarian breakfast. We should have got extra hash browns replacing the bacon or sausages. But other than that everything was fine.

The location is great for people traveling to the Lake District by car. It’s outside of Keswick to avoid the fray and provides parking so you can stay somewhere where your car can be parked. And then Keswick is only a short direct walk from the Hotel and everything else is easily accessed too (we were able to walk to the Catbells from Dereentwater and there are lots of other hikes/walks close by)

Clean well kept , we stayed at the cottage which is not part of the main hotel building. Room 11 called Otter. Two bedrooms , nice and clean. The staff were all very friendly throughout our stay. Very good choice of food for breakfast. The added bonus of seeing Badgers feeding at night was brilliant. Very good location for all of the Eastern side of the lake district.

We stayed in the Lake District with our six person family at the Waterhead Hotel and think it was a great choice. It came with full English breakfast, the beds were very comfortable and they had great staff. the kids could go out hiking and the town of Ambleside was a 1/2 mile walk. But the location cannot be beat, right on the lake.

The hostel was conveniently located in the heart of the lake district. We could get to the places that we want to visit in under 30 minutes. And the fact that you walk out the front doors to Lake Windemere was just thrilling! This was our first time staying at a hostel and we loved it.

A great view of the lake from the room on 2nd floor. A good location in Ambleside to explore the Lake District area - John Ruskin's house - Brantwood and other interesting places. The dinner at the Regent Hotel restaurant was one of the best meals during the England trip.
