Holmeleigh Hotel is set in Blackpool, 700 metres from Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Located around 2.3 km from Coral Island, the hotel with free WiFi is also 2.5 km away from Blackpool Tower. This was a typical but good quality B&B Hotel in Blackpool. Clean comfortable and value for the money paid and great location. Those who post negative comments obviously desire a higher quality than offered so should book a 4-5 star hotel instead and pay accordingly. I would stay there again when in town. Wendy was a great host.
The Queens Hotel is situated in Lytham St Annes and has a terrace and a bar. Free WiFi is available. A Full English/Irish breakfast can be enjoyed at the property. This hotel is the best hotel in Lytham! I was in the area for nearly three (3) weeks and in three (3) different hotels. The hotel is centrally located to Lytham and just down the street from St. Anne's Pier. When I walked in the front door I was greeted, sorted out, and in my room in minutes. I came down to the restaurant right after and met a very cohesive staff. The hotel manager, the bar manager, two bartenders and a server engaged me at the bar and treated me like family. So details ... the room is directly across from the beach and the grassy park by the windmill, so the view was fantastic! The dogs were on parade everyday, and every now and again, in the pub! The room had a very comfortable bed, full bathroom with a large shower, storage was enough for everything in my 40kg bag+, and a television professionally mounted on the wall. Breakfast is incredible! From the Avocado Toast to poached eggs, breakfast was made when it was ordered. I had the Queen's Breakfast, Smashed Avocado, and one day they just made me poached eggs, soldiers and cured back bacon - when the kitchen is that good, the basics blew my mind. Coffee/Espresso service is made from a professional machine with trained baristas. Lunch and dinner were exceptional as well. I had the Fish and Chips; they were ridiculous!!! The Fish was a large filet, hand battered, and super tasty. The chips were amazing and different because they were like large potato bars! I had a Queen's Burger, made to order! The Gammon Steak was also very good and prepared to order! The pub's bar was a historical site and something to behold. The pub served a number of great cocktails, had an excellent selection of locally sourced gins, fantastic beers and ales, and the selection of wines and spirits were spot on for pairing with a good meal.

Lovely village with coastal walk right on the doorstep of the local inn. You can walk for miles along the seafront into Morecambe and beyond. Heysham is a great base for visiting many tourist areas in Lancashire and also the Lake District.
The castle tour is well worth it, especially as they are opening new bits of it as they are being restored. The fantastic tour guide, who has more than a passing resemblance to Prince Harry, brought the tour to life, we really enjoyed it. Parking is relatively easy, and not too pricey either. The Priory just behind the castle is well worth a visit too, especially if they have a concert on as the acoustics are amazing! We also went to the museum, very easy to find, free, and has a lovely military museum tucked away inside it. A must for anyone who had family in the Kings Own Royal Lancashire's like me. What we saw of Lancaster was good, and we loved the three way bridge over the river too. Parts of the town are a little run down , but not too bad, unlike the shock i had visiting Morecambe Bay, very run down, very sad to see that the council haven't put some money into restoring it, as it is a pretty little town with the most fantastic toy shop and children's special occasion clothes shop right next door to each other. The Stone Pier is worth a wander along as is the statue of Eric Morecambe to see too. Other than that and the odd second hand shop, there is not a lot more to see. It does however have the most amazing toilet block that was cheap, clean, and like a tardis inside, it looks tiny from the outside, but believe me, it isn't! To be fair, we didn't explore all of the town, but we were advised not to go to one end as it was a no go area, and that came from a local! Just a shame that the museum was shut - as a lot of things are on a monday in Lancashire - that would have been nice to see. This was only a 2 day break, maybe a little longer might have brought hidden treasures to light.
Smart market town with some very good shops of all types, My husband was over the moon at the quantity and quality of the beer with so many different types on offer and a micro brewery, Food was not a problem as the cafes and restaurants all good to excellent. The other bonus is the East Lancashire Steam Railway which is rich in history and museum a Bury also more beer in the station tavern !!!

Lancaster has much to offer. It has an amazing garden overlooking to sea. There are museums and galleries. The castle is a must as it is full of history, especially the Lancashire Witches. It is a good centre for the Lakes, the Dales, he Trough of Bowl and and the Fylde Coast. We get there often.
A friendly, warm reception from all I met in this historic Lancashire Pennine town. Lots of independent shops and market traders to suite most tastes. I look forward to returning in the future.
It was a stop over on an otherwise beautiful scenic journey through Cumbria and down into Lancashire . So we did not see a great deal of Barnsoldwick.
It's a lovely quiet part of Lancashire. Very pretty on a summer evening or very early in the morning. The restaurant at The Mill served up a very good evening meal with good choice of wines. The marina and locks at Glasson Docks nearby are interesting with a couple of pubs and a cafe. We didn't visit the other pub nearby called The Stork but it looked nice from outside.
Lytham st Anne's is a great all rounder for all ages, we only discovered this little gem 11 years ago,we would recommend a day out, a weekend or even a weeks stay, there s so much to discover ....I commend Lancashire council for the towns cleanliness..... Well done....

Easy location from Manchester airport. Good location for travel to Preston, Liverpool, days out to Leeds, Hebdon Bridge and Lakes. The hotel was a good mix of modern(Breakfast room) and country house( lounge). The restaurant served a good mix of traditional Lancashire & modern cuisine from around the world all of which is recommended. The room was great, comfortable and warm. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and attentive. Try the full English breakfast. That's what it should be like.

I have been delighted to stay at Mitton Hall on a number of occasions previously. This time I had a lovely surprise of a free upgrade to a suite with a four poster bed! I have stayed in many hotels for business and pleasure but Mitton Hall is my favourite because of the sheer history and character of the building. It is in a beautiful setting with many places to explore and enjoy in historic Lancashire and I will definitely be back!

Our apartment was spotlessly clean, spacious and extremely well equipped, with a dishwasher a washing machine and even Wi-Fi throughout. There were towels, toiletries and even dishwasher tablets provided. We enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it as an excellent base for seeing Lancashire and the Lake District. The surrounding canal walk was beautiful, as were the very friendly (and greedy) local swans and ducks.

Loved the stylish decor throughout. Rooms were soundproofed and one of the most peaceful nights sleep ever had in a hotel. Pleased to see breakfast was cooked to order and not buffet style which so many hotels do now. Lancashire breakfast with black pudding and poached egg was just heaven!!

I am sorry to say that I will be unlikely to avail myself of this excellent hotel as I am very unlikely to go to Lancashire any time soon . This is a shame as this is a great little hotel with really good staff and great food ( we had an evening meal) which was top quality
