- From $202.02 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 2,318 reviewsReally lovely venue. Local pub vibe but with nice cosy rooms. I stayed in one of the pods and it was warm, safe and secure with good parking outside. The restaurant on site you can book a table in is cosy and there is table ordering if your Sat outside. There is a shop and coffee shop on site as well. Very easy to locate and almost directly on the loch so you can easily start a hike from the venue out round the lake. Overall a great stay and would recommend for a get away. Fantastic staff as well, felt very looked after.Guest review byMuppetinabigcoatUnited States

The staff were welcome, cheerful and as helpful as could be. The menu in the dining room was varied and delicious with a complete wine selection. Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable and the hotel’s proximity to Inveraray Castle made it an ideal accommodation for exploration of the Campbell clan’s ancestral home.Guest review byIanCanada

Nothing to do with the location ..but..the bus from Buchanan bus station dropped us off on the outskirts of Balloch on a very busy duel carriageway..which took ages to cross safely..why don't they terminate in Balloch's own bus station...much safer as we had to walk 15 mins to get to our accomodation in rough tarain... I'd hate to think of elderly people having to endure this ... shocked to be honest...nothing to do will The Tillie Inn..maybe something should be changed to prevent this.as it has put me off getting the bus...Guest review byTownsley - 10.0

I took a fishing rod and on the first night had bbq mackerel on the banks of Loch lomand as its very close. The hills are walking distance from the hotel so on the second day we walked up Ben ime. The views are spectacular if you have not been to the west of Scotland you willl be impressed and the location is so close to Glasgow, difficult to believe a large city is so close.Guest review byDr BeeUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Lovely little town. Loads of places to eat and drink. The jail is well worth a visit. The castle is worth a visit but it was very busy and therefore difficult to get the most out of it however it was a Sunday lunchtime so maybe not the best time to go.Guest review byCarmelUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Luss is a quaint little town with not many facilities but a useful local store. We were there for the Highland Games which were a fabulous life experience. The loch is gorgeous and the surrounding mountains are stunning.Guest review byCynthiaUnited States - 10.0
Lodge was fantastic.
Lodge was fantastic. Staff were very welcoming and nothing was an issue. It was nice and peaceful. I'd have stayed a lot longer if I could. Everything you need is literally on the doorstep. Staff at the village shop were lovely and even took our photo as we just got married the day we arrived. Chris was very welcoming anytime we needed anything from the wee shop.Guest review byHand - 10.0

There's not much in Tarbet, apart from the Hotel and a good restaurant, but its convenient for the Loch, and its on a junction of the main roads, so there's good access to other parts. There is a bus stop that the long distance bus services stop at. Loch boat trips depart from the pier. The Tarbet Hotel is a great place to stay. The Kirk 'o the Lochs is a good place to eat.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 6.0
Greenock is fine but dreadful bus station.
Greenock is fine but dreadful bus station. I was robbed by a very incompetent laptop repair shop hotspot in town centre 20 GBP for 5 mins work and job not done. The lady in charge of the waterfront took my laptop personally and got it fixed. Great service.Guest review byJohnnyThailand - 10.0

We expected it to be nice but when we arrived we were simply blown away by the lodge and the peaceful park it is based in. The lodge was spacious and clean and had everything a family needed for a relaxing break. The bedrooms were great and the shower and bath facility was also top class. The WiFi was as good as anywhere I've ever stayed and the park with private beach was truly spectacular. We couldn't recommend this place more if we tried and will be coming back every year as the owner was very helpful and friendly as well.Guest review byGaryUnited Kingdom
