The staff was very welcoming and helpful at all times and the breakfast was great.Highly recommend. One of the best Hotels I have stayed in so far.

Hotel in New Town, Edinburgh
Featuring a shared lounge, a restaurant as well as a bar, 21212 is located in the centre of Edinburgh, 300 metres from Edinburgh Playhouse. Good location - walking distance from railway station (not flat) if you're able to or a short trip in a taxi otherwise. Literally next door to Calton Hill and the monuments and a fantastic view on clear day. Round the corner from cafes, pubs, Theatre Royal, cinema and many other things. Easy to get to Princes Street etc. We walked everywhere but I saw many buses going close by the end of the road too when going to & from the hotel. I asked when booking if I could have a room with a bath and although this was not guaranteed I wasn't disappointed. The bathroom was huge with a walk in shower and the most beautiful stand alone bath as well. We stayed for 2 nights and I had a lovely hot bubble bath on each night which is a real treat for me and made the break extra special. There were lovely large white towels, luxurious face cloths and white bathrobes available too (also new slippers in wardrobe too though I didn't use any). The bed was massive and unbelievably comfortable, I didn't really want to get out of it! We had breakfast one morning which was served in an extremely graceful room. If you are planning on having breakfast at the hotel and have any dietary requirements do let them know in advance as they will assist! The first morning we did eat at a lovely café around the corner which had vegetarian and vegan options too. There is a large lounge area you can relax in at the hotel if you want to read or just have some quiet time. Room and bathroom were utterly spotless. View from the room was lovely. There were no hot drinks facilities in the room (there was fresh mineral water daily) but a Nespresso machine was literally 2 steps outside the room with plenty of options available. Fabulous Bluetooth speaker to connect the TV or your phone to as well to enjoy some radio or Spotify if you wished. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful. We didn't need much by way of assistance but when we did they were there.
Hotel in Gullane
The Bonnie Badger features a garden, shared lounge, a restaurant and bar in Gullane. Built in 19th century, this 5-star hotel is within 2.9 km of Aberlady Bay Beach and 1.3 km of Muirfield. A wonderful hotel, staff were superb from arrival to departure, rooms are fabulous with luxurious beds and toiletries, clean towels every day whether needed or not. Only 10 mins walk from the hotel to a gorgeous sandy beach, and Gullane has a charming main street. We ate in the main restaurant and the food was amazing, and we used the main bar and the outside garden area and loved the service given and choice of food and drinks in both. Will definitely be back!
Hotel in Penicuik
Situated in Penicuik, The Craigie Hotel has a restaurant, bar, garden, and free WiFi throughout the property. Boasting room service, this property also provides guests with a terrace. it is a lovely old hotel with a generous spirit about it. Big rooms, staff who always do more than you expect with warmth and service mindedness that’s very hard to find in the disrupted travel industry. Best bed in Scotland! We’ve stayed here many times, in a favorite corner room and will return. The restaurant is also very good!

I always enjoy Edinburgh ,it is a beautiful city ,and very good transport . But remember when you get the tram you must have a ticket before you board the tram and validate it ,or they charge you . £10 . The bus is £1 60p for anywhere on Lothian bus . Have exact fair no change given
A lovely city. Small and easy to explore with plenty of interesting places to see. Museum of Scotland is a must, particularly the guided tours where you can learn more than just wandering around on your own. For a good value meal in interesting surroundings try the Caley Picture House on Lothian Road, a converted cinema.
Edinburgh is one of the finest cities on the planet - and it has the most wonderful football team - Heart of Midlothian FC! What town could have more or be better?
The royal mile is a must visit. Have dinner at the Albanach on the royal mile it serves great food and drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the castle, pre booking avoids long queues. There are great views of the city to be seen and lots of interesting exhibits. We took a Lothian bus tour, tickets are available to purchase at Waverley bridge and the buses depart from there are well. We took a set 1 hr tour and there were a couple to choose from and it really give us a great tour of the city and showed us some other interesting areas which we probably would not have seen during our short trip, at £15 it was worthwhile. We took A gin connoisseur tour at the Edinburgh Gin Distillery, it was £25 and included a session on the history of gin, a view of the two stills and a fabulous tasting session where we tried 6 different drinks and had a great sized bottle to take away. The tour was informative yet light hearted and was such good fun!
Loved all of it, so much to see, Castle guide tour is a must, very informative And the bus tour is fantastic too. So easy to get around on buses, buy a day pass from LOTHIAN buses, not any other and you can jump on practically any bus to go here and there.
I love Edinburgh. Worked there in the 1970s and visit almost every month. You do not need a reason to go - just meander through the old town and watch the throngs of people bustling about. Edinburgh centre is so walkable and every corner holds a delight in terms of architecture. Buy a day ticket on Lothian Buses and hop all over for a reasonable cost - from Morningside to Ocean Terminal, Stockbridge and Braid Hills. Enjoy.
Really cosmopolitan city that wasn't too big to get around on foot. Wonderful cafes and restaurants, plenty of choice. Lots of history. Lothian buses from the airport to the city very regular and very cheap. Would recommend visiting the Scott monument for great views over city and it is reasonably priced too. Also if you like gin I would recommend a visit to the Edinburgh Gin Distillery, very good value for money.
Beautiful, unspoiled 17th century planned village situated amid East Lothian’s rich and verdant countryside. Stay at the Teeeddale Arms hotel in room 2 Eat at Falco’s in Haddington - 5 minutes drive.
Historical and cultural. And a fun place even if not during marathon. Innes and Gunn beer kitchen on Lothian road below castle is my favorite for drinks and or food.
Lots to see and do no matter what your particular interests are. It's very touristy, of course, but time your visits to the main attractions and you're ok. Buy day tickets on the Lothian buses, or better still a week long pass if you're around that long. The bus service is amazing.
I really love this traditional old inn filled with antique furniture and interesting objets d’art and paintings. It’s in this in the lovely village of Gifford which is a great base for walking or cycling in East Lothian. Great staff who are doing their utmost to keep guests happy during current government imposed restrictions (based on some unbelievably poor science I think) which they had no control over. Dinner was enjoyable and breakfast was superb.
Beautiful hotel and staff were so friendly and professional. We stayed in a deluxe room and it was absolutely beautiful with a view over the garden. Room was made up every day. Garden was lovely and snacks and drinks were served daily in the garden if you wished. We were visiting relatives, however, this hotel is ideal for commuting to Edinburgh. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Edinburgh/Midlothian area.
North Berwick
The location is perfect for exploring North Berwick and the surrounding area. The apartment is spacious, comfortable, warm and inviting. The views of the Firth of Forth are amazing! Michael made us feel so welcome, just like old friends returning to see him. His little welcome gifts were the icing on the cake. A must for visitors to East Lothian.
Clean, good value hotel in Aberlady Excellent hosts and friendly helpful staff Lovely beer garden at the rear of the inn Whilst we didn’t eat in the evening the menu looked good Nice continental breakfast Excellent location for all the golf courses along the East Lothian coast Recommended
Food was good , though choice was somewhat limited . Haddington is a good location for exploring East Lothian and relatively close to Edinburgh , so catching the bus is feasible as it takes about an hour on weekdays . The bedroom was large and the bed very comfortable .
Everything about the Dalmahoy is exceptional.
Everything was perfect and the staff couldn't have been more helpful! Can highly recommend staying there.
Everything! Room overlooking golf course amazing. Great pool, gym & spa area. Bar & lounge area was relaxing and had several nice areas to sit. Good food
Beautiful grounds, immaculate spa area, and very comfortable room.
Prime location, the princes street view was worth the extra money!
location and how the place was maintained so well.
Room was very comfortable and the location was excellent also.
The hotel was stunning and located in the heart of Edinburgh Close to restaurants and bars

Easy check-in, clean room and bathroom, very comfortable bed. Location very convinient, direct in front of hotel is airport bus stop, food store is over the street, walking distance to old Town.
Everything was completely clean, fresh and tidy. The staff also were so helpful and nice with us, i don’t have any complains at all!.
