I visited with the intention of attending the Tattoo.
I visited with the intention of attending the Tattoo. I flew in on the morning and went to the tattoo in the early evening. I managed to fit in a walking tour at the Real Mary Kings on Sunday morning and followed this with attending four fringe shows and a lot of city walking. Monday was more leisurely with a train ride to Loch Lomond. There is a lot of Harry Potter type architecture in the old city. Just look up at the skyline Edinburgh was great to walk in with plenty to see and do without the Fringe. Not too expensive to eat and drink with lots of local coffee shops and cafes available serving good food. I found The Cafe on the mound serving home cooked food and barista coffee. Dinner was less than £10. Public transport in and around Edinburgh is brilliant and not too expensive. I didn't wait more than 10 minutes for a bus back to my accommodation. I would love to go back just to explore.Guest review byNettledUnited Kingdom - 6.0

I only stayed in Ingliston because I was working at the Royal Highland Centre I saw nothing of it other than the road in/out, the Holiday Inn and the RHC. I imagine most people only visit Ingliston for this reaosn or the Airport.Guest review byMachariusUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The location was very convenient, with a market nearby that offered everything one might need during a short stay. While the approach lane wasn’t particularly impressive, the apartment itself exceeded our expectations — beautifully maintained and very comfortable inside.Guest review byREHAN HABIBUnited Arab Emirates - 6.0

Queensferry is a lovely town, but suffers as all have from shops being turned in to hairdressers and charity shops. Could do with a little bit of care and attention to some of the lovely old buildings which are looking a bit stressed.Guest review byMalcolmUnited Kingdom - 2.0
While I found the room itself comfortable and well-presented...
While I found the room itself comfortable and well-presented, unfortunately, the overall experience was significantly impacted by a series of distressing events. During the night, there were repeated electricity outages which triggered alarms multiple times. This culminated in the arrival of firefighters at my room—an unexpected and unsettling experience. To add to the concern, there was no staff present at the reception during this time, which left me feeling quite unsafe and unsupported. To date, I have not received any form of apology, explanation, or gesture of goodwill from your team. I believe a situation like this warrants not only a sincere apology but also a degree of accountability and customer care, especially considering the level of disruption and concern caused.Guest review byStephanieUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Lovely quiet resort close to amenities with an excellent bus service. Went into Edinburgh every day and saw lots of sites such as the castle / dungeons/ Mary Kings close/ Obscura observatory and a witchy museum. We ate on site or in Edinburgh. All in all we had a fantastic time and made loads of memories.Guest review bySUSANUnited Kingdom - 10.0

North Berwick is an adorable seaside town with beautiful scenic views and an amazing golf course. We enjoyed the quaint shops and restaurants as well as hiking the law. Getting around was so simple. We walked everywhere and found it so easy to go back and forth to our accommodations. One word of caution, most places stop serving dinner by 8:00pm. Wonderful place to visit!Guest review bygretchenUnited States - 10.0

The waterside bistro is a short walk through St Mary's churchyard, which is opposite the hotel, food was delicious, there is a lovely walk along the riverside, and also another pub The Tyneside Tavern which has a great italian style restaurant. Haddington is a lovely picturesque little town, & quite central for visiting North Berwick, and a good distance to get into Edinburgh, where you can park & ride, picking up a tram at The Port of LeithGuest review bykennethUnited Kingdom
