The staff were really really welcoming and friendly, and the space was perfect for our group. Having the night security was really great too for people coming home at different times. The TV/sound bar, number of mirrors, and seating in the living room were all really great that you don't always find in apartments.

Liverpool is a vibrant city with a great mix of history, culture and architecture. The people are so friendly and welcoming. So much to see and do and it’s not all about The Beatles. You definitely need more than a couple of nights to get the most out of your visit. Great for live music. Lovely waterfront. Good choice of restaurants. Easy to get about on foot but also great public transport and good availability of taxis. Both Anglican and catholic cathedrals are worth a visit. The cavern club is a must see. I would recommend going in the daytime for great live music.

Visited from 2010 to 2019 and had wonderful holidays.

Visited from 2010 to 2019 and had wonderful holidays. Sadly Southport is looking tired. Lord Street used to be lovely but it's now mainly charity shops or empty shops. Homeless sleeping in doorways. The promenade and gardens are lovely. Excellent play area for kids. The pier has been closed for a while and when we were there we heard there had been a fire the day before. It's not particularly dog friendly. Windmill pub does good pub food. There are two retail parks with the usual shops but that takes you away from the main area of Lord Street. So disappointing won't be back.

After arriving at the haydock, we were charged £20 for geting in our room at 2pm instead of 3pm, the minute we opened room door, we were greeted with a stale fosty smell, we immediately tryed to open window, only to reliese it was nailed down, & was covered in cobwebs, i asked reception if they could open the window as there was no air in room, only to be told it was broken, going by cobwebs its been broken a while, still cant believe they didnt clean cobwebs away, i then asked for room change, we got told it wouldnt be to next day, i couldnt sleep in the room the 1st night i slept in car as couldnt breath in the room, the 2nd day we told them were leaving as the room was a disgrace, no working iron, or hairdryer, the bathroom was filthy, the rooms just not been used prior to my visit, but to not clean the room at all is a disgrace, we left a nite early as it wasntb sleepable, didnt think to take pictures as we were sweating buckets and couldnt wait to lleave, £203 for 2 nights and slept in car 1st night, and left the next morning, disgusting

We stayed at Knowsley as it was much more cost effective than 2 nights in similar accommodation in Liverpool. We were down for the Everton Man City game. Unfortunately neither of us drive and as buses don't Service the hotel at the weekend meant we had to rely on taxis. For anyone who drives the location is not a problem though. Visited a few of the local hostelries. Copperpot, Derby Arms and Vikings Landing all were very friendly places with good service. Prices for drinks are favourable compared to other cities.

Very clean . Beautiful surroundings. Comfortable. Not very warm especially dining room had to eat evening meal with coats on . Evening bar staff refused us a cup of coffee having already had one and then sent another person to their room to make one in their room and bring it back to their company sitting in the bar . And they were elderly. So not very good . Bar could of stayed open a little longer .... admittedly it was about 10.30pm but when you have been out and you need a nightcap in hotel even if just a cuppa not good .

Heswall is a friendly little town, with a good selection of small shops and eateries. Please do visit the book shop! From the outside it looks like any other shop, but step inside and you will be bowled over with what's on offer, which even includes a cafe. Heswall offers easy access to other destinations on The Wirrall, including the delightful West Kirby. It is a great spot to explore places further afield, such as North Wales, Chester and Liverpool.
