My room was very beautiful. Honestly, after reading some reviews before booking, I thought I might be disappointed, but once I arrived, everything changed. The hotel ambiance was awesome, and the people at the front desk were very helpful — especially the manager, who was excellent. The rooms were very clean, and the dinner experience was just wow! 🤩 I really enjoyed my meal — the king prawns and lamb shank were absolutely amazing, prepared by Chef Priyanka. She did a fantastic job. At the bar, Iona was also wonderful — so kind and welcoming. Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

I did not stop off at any of the places in Elgin during my stay due to the extreme heat, however there were plenty of amenities nearby and other parts of Elgin - I.e. train and bus stations were within walking distance also and were clearly signposted with their destinations. The locals seemed friendly also when unsure.

Hotel conveniently backs onto the Speyside Way in a lovely, peaceful village that is very central for whisky lovers. Right to Roam rents ebike locally. Staff were so welcoming and guest focused - very knowledgeable! Food and whisky was most enjoyable! Loved the patio out behind the bar!! My only request was to upgrade to bigger TVs in the rooms or bar/restaurant for viewing the events like the World Cup!!

An amazing old market town with wonderful history and lots to explore around the area. The high street is fabulous with lots of shops and cafes as well as old historic buildings to look at and the various whinds and alleyways to explore can take you all day. The community has recently purchased the large gothic cathedral and is turning into an arts centre so plenty of opportunities for events to attend with this venue and others in the vicinity.

The Buckie area is outwith the main tourist thoroughfares. This makes it all the more appealing in my opinion. So many places of interest in the surrounding area, from coastal routes, to inland hills, and with a great heritage in its fishing and seafaring heritage. Spend some time in Moray. You won’t be disappointed!

Rothes is centrally located for visits to any number of whiskey distilleries, or if you arrange to do some fishing on the Spey River. It is not a destination unto itself, as there is almost nothing in Rothes to see or do, but it's a lovely little village in the heart of Speyside. A warning that there are almost no food options in Rothes. The Station Hotel has a wonderful restaurant and bar, but that is your only option, so expect to drive to a neighboring village if you want any variety.

Fochabers is a quaint, lovely small town dating from the 18th century. Easy to drive in and find parking. It’s a convenient location to use as a base to visit surrounding historical sites, look for local shops for made in Scotland goods, go to some distilleries or drive to the coast. Beautiful Castle Gordon next to the town, offer tours. First Highland Games of the Season are held on the Castle grounds in May. There are at least four places to stay, Gordon Castle being one. Delightfully diverse dining options; most are an easy walk. Depending on where you stay, dining is also available on site. We stayed at the Red Lion Tavern that offers a fabulous breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Fochabers. Please consider this lovely village as part of your itinerary.

Cullen is pretty, friendly, has several amenities and is well placed for exploring all of the Morayshire coast on foot, by bus or by car. Our favourite places were the old harbour in Portsoy, Lossiemouth beach and the recently restored Tarlair art deco lido cafe. There's a geat deli, Indian takeaway and an evening meal at the Seafield Arms in the heated outside space with our dog was a special treat in Cullen itself.
