Nothing could have been improved. This is an amazing place and the owner is fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble for her and she goes well above and beyond with absolutely top notch service. Danby village is a 5 min drive/40 min walk away and is easy to get around. There's a local pub serving food though we didn't go there as we generally self catered. Danby Botton with a good store, in the other direction, is also a 5 min drive/40 min walk away. Excellent walking country on the door step.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Staithes is well worth the visit - whether you are a weary traveller, a Captain Cook history buff, or a keen Cleveland Way walker you will enjoy this village. The harbour is interesting. I like the Royal George Hotel more than the other hotels in the village. Nearby towns are Whitby and Saltburn-by-the-Sea - both have heaps to offer.Guest review byPaulAustralia - 10.0

Goathland is a really nice place to be, when all is quiet, early morning or evening time it is absolutely magical. The Inn on the moor and the Mallyan Spout hotel are lovely places to eat and drink unfortunately I can’t say the same about the Goathland hotel. If you like walking then Goathland is a great place to start.Guest review byColinUnited Kingdom - 8.0
