The town is fine, better than I thought.
The town is fine, better than I thought. Lots of diff cultures ad diff types of food. City centre is easy and handy and walkable from where we stayed, both occasions... But we only went re student life associations. Pages on social media show it off proudly and lots to do with free activities. Victoria shopping centre is grand alsoGuest review byAnonymous - 6.0
We didn't actually go into Worksop.
We didn't actually go into Worksop. We stayed at Muthu Hotel and Spa to go to Clumber Park and Bakewell because the price at the Hotel was reasonable for the location. However I think advertising photos of hotels now have either been photo shopped or they have used photos form when Hotel was in its Hey day's.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Attractive town, historic buildings, River Trent - all...
Attractive town, historic buildings, River Trent - all lovely features; and Sherwood Forest and Rufford Park in easy reach. Newark Civil War Centre is very interesting and there are many old buildings in the town. Independent shops and Sarurday market. Sourhwell Minster is not far away and cities - Lincoln (similarly much historical interest) and Nottingham - are each about 20 miles drive. Good pubs and restaurants too. Koinonia (Kerala food) is a favourite.Guest review byMaureenUnited Kingdom - 8.0

This hotel is spread out so if you are less mobile be warned. Whilst it is clean and well appointed it could be a bit of a walk from you car to the room or from the room to the public areas. Obviously a popular wedding venue.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 8.0
We know Mansfield very well and returned for a look around,...
We know Mansfield very well and returned for a look around, although the town centre is not much different to any other area, there are some beautiful and interesting places to see close by. We visited The Carrs at Warsop, Clumber Park, Carr Bank Park in Mansfield, the Dukeries Garden Centre etc. The snow curtailed some of the activities we had had planned, as we had intended to visit some old haunts within Sherwood Forest itself. Sadly Mansfield Museum is a bit lacking in information, but there is some of the history of Mansfield industrial past, which was very interesting. If you have never been go with the intention of visiting the surrounding area you would not be disappointed.Guest review bypamUnited Kingdom - 8.0

I only stayed the one night. I had a meal in the local Gurkha restaurant which was good and within budget, the staff were very friendly. Also there is a Italian take away facing the Horse and Jockey which looked good.Guest review byJoan - 10.0

Southwell is a delight.
Southwell is a delight. The Minster and gardens are worth a visit. Everyone we met was very friendly and considerate. A car even stopped to let us cross the road. Maybe the warm weather lifted everyone's spirits.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 10.0
We had a lovely stay at Grange House.
We had a lovely stay at Grange House. It was perfect location for an event the next day at Holme Pierre Pont. We were able to take our little dog and he was made to feel very welcome. Kevin recommended a local pub for an evening meal in the village of Lowdham called the Swan. The food and reception were excellent. We would certainly stay here again.Guest review byrobertUnited Kingdom
