- From $183.04 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 368 reviewsBreakfast was delicious with home made granola, and bread with lovely home made jam. The full scottish breakfast was superb. The conservatory was a beautiful place to eat and to view the gorgeous well kept garden (to which guests have access). The house has been beautifully furnished and much thought has been given to the interesting art. The hosts go absolutely above and beyond to make their guests comfortable and nothing was too much trouble, even down to the variety of gins in the honesty bar! Would definitely recommend.Guest review byHeatherUnited Kingdom

- From $234.56 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 4,565 reviewsThey are not just saying it: they really put their guests first. Small example: the host at the restaurant came up to our hotel room on the busiest Saturday evening just to open our bottle because we were thirsty and wanted to have a last drink we bought somewhere else. The room and the bathroom is modern, comfy, clean: perfect.Guest review byAgnesHungary

I visited with the intention of attending the Tattoo.
I visited with the intention of attending the Tattoo. I flew in on the morning and went to the tattoo in the early evening. I managed to fit in a walking tour at the Real Mary Kings on Sunday morning and followed this with attending four fringe shows and a lot of city walking. Monday was more leisurely with a train ride to Loch Lomond. There is a lot of Harry Potter type architecture in the old city. Just look up at the skyline Edinburgh was great to walk in with plenty to see and do without the Fringe. Not too expensive to eat and drink with lots of local coffee shops and cafes available serving good food. I found The Cafe on the mound serving home cooked food and barista coffee. Dinner was less than £10. Public transport in and around Edinburgh is brilliant and not too expensive. I didn't wait more than 10 minutes for a bus back to my accommodation. I would love to go back just to explore.Guest review byNettledUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We loved Glasgow, it’s a beautiful city especially round the university and the Merchant City. The reputation of the Glaswegians is true, they are genuinely friendly and helpful and we would love to return one day.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Your museum was excellent.
Your museum was excellent. Unfortunately some sites were closed. The pubs were great fun. The food was good, the people were friendly, and the music was great. The most amazing thing is that we could walk everywhere and we never felt uncomfortable. The signing was easy to follow.Guest review byjoanCanada - 10.0

The near by waterfall was lovely to see - about 5 min drive away but you had to pay parking online. Bit dissappointed with town centre not what we expected - we did arrive late so lots of shops had shut for the day. Overall seemed run down. However scenery on the way was amazing. So worth the journey/ it was just an overnight stop off before heading to Skye.Guest review byCaroleUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Very friendly people. Spoke to several other visitors who were also enjoying their stay. Several good eating places and good variety of shops. Excellent transport choices from local buses, trains and taxis. Good ferry trips at a reasonable price. We only had half a day in Stirling and could have stayed much longer. Everyone in my family enjoyed the castle very much. My children actually asked to extend the time we had budgeted to see the castle, which is the first place this happened. We would have loved to spend more time seeing the Wallace Monument and the town of Stirling, but unfortunately had to leave.Guest review byRebeccaUnited States - 8.0
V & A and the Thata restaurant for afternoon tea.
V & A and the Thata restaurant for afternoon tea. Hop On Hop Off bus but a miserable unhelpful driver unfortunately. Stop off at the Law and walk to the top as views spectacular. Walk by the river. Botanic garden beautiful quiet place to relax but sadly no tea room. Broughty Ferry worth a visit as nice water front with castle and RNLI.Guest review byMaureenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Aviemore has a great buzz about it – a proper gateway to the Cairngorms with a strong tourist vibe that makes it feel lively year-round. The high street is packed with outdoor shops, from big names like Ellis Brigham and Tiso to smaller independents, so whether you’re after hiking boots, ski gear or a new waterproof, you’re well catered for. There’s also a good mix of cafés, pubs and restaurants, which keeps the place welcoming after a day outdoors. It’s the kind of town where you instantly feel in “holiday mode,” with a steady flow of visitors giving it energy without losing its Highland charm.Guest review byAndyUnited Kingdom
