- From $148.09 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 380 reviewsBreakfast was delicious with home made granola, and bread with lovely home made jam. The full scottish breakfast was superb. The conservatory was a beautiful place to eat and to view the gorgeous well kept garden (to which guests have access). The house has been beautifully furnished and much thought has been given to the interesting art. The hosts go absolutely above and beyond to make their guests comfortable and nothing was too much trouble, even down to the variety of gins in the honesty bar! Would definitely recommend.Guest review byHeatherUnited Kingdom

Arrived by train at Central station, two Taxi-drivers told us they did not know the Apex Hotel which was only a few hundred yards away. I suspect they did not want a short booking. We decided to walk. As two eighty year olds with suitcases after a long journey from Essex, this was exhausting! Then to be told that there was no bar or evening restaurant gave us a very poor initial impression. The room and breakfast were fineGuest review byColinUnited Kingdom - 6.0
Interesting museum & indoor market.
Interesting museum & indoor market. The castle was not open just now. Nice walk along the river towards the Botanical Gardens which are very small but pleasant with a cafe. Interesting nearby to see the end of the Calededonian Canal & easy buses back to the centre from the Park & Ride near there. Went to the Eden Theatre for the Scottish Ballet about Mary Queen of Scots which was wonderful & such a nice theatre. Good evening meal at the Mustard Seed cafe but it was very busy and there was a need to book. Left luggage at the Bus Station was good and cheaper than leaving luggage at the Railway Station., except it had to be collected by 5pm.Guest review byIanUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Been a few times to Aberdeen as this is where our son lives.
Been a few times to Aberdeen as this is where our son lives. Plenty variety of eating places and pubs etc . We were there one night as we were there for a specific show at the time in the Aberdeen Music Hall. Downside is the amount of beggars and homeless people in the city centre.Guest review byBobUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Only had a day there but went on a boat trip in the morning. Nice little shopping centre and the church was worth a visit. Lots of shops, pubs and eating places. Had a very nice dinner at Crannog restaurant. We were too late to see the Museum as it was just shutting at 4.00 pm.Guest review byAnitaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Lots to do, places to eat and gateway to the isles. Having a car makes it easier to get around and visit places outside the town, but a bonny stopping point. Definitely have seafood as it couldn’t be any fresher. Had to go a bit further for a good dog walk.Guest review byNicolaUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Pitlochry is a beautiful town, but now so many visitors you cannot get in any restaurants unless booked in advance and walking on the street is hazardous for anyone with mobility issues as you have to keep trying to avoid people not looking where they are going.Guest review byAnnaCanada - 8.0

We stayed one night and actually tried to book another night but the property was fully booked. We visited the Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle but ran out of time. We'd happily return again and take a bit more time to look around.Guest review byMarciaAustralia - 8.0

The hotel was very close to the bus stop which took us to Arbroath, a cute little village that we wanted to see. The bus station and cruise terminal were also close to the hotel. The dining options in Dundee were great, many to choose from, people in the shops friendly. The visit to the "Discovery" ship was great and would recommend this attraction. On the whole, it was easy to get around Dundee on foot or using the local bus. The local bus drivers were great and helpful to us as overseas visitors but some were very gruff, rude and unhelpful and assumed we would know things that as overseas visitors, we had no idea and spoke to us in a gruff and abrupt manner. This was the only detraction.Guest review byDaleAustralia - 10.0
I love this neck of the woods.
I love this neck of the woods. Plenty to do if you are an outdoors person or just want a break from busy places. It is a nice laid back location where there is a lot less hassle. Lots of nice food places - either restaurants or take-aways and plenty of shops where you could buy your own food if you don't want to go out. Highly recommended. If the weather is not so good there are plenty of lovely places you can drive to within 45 minutes.Guest review byMarkUnited Kingdom
