Loved my stay at the Social Hub. The room was fully equipped, and very clean with fresh towels, coffee and water provided every day. The location is perfect, walking distance from the city center and all major attractions, not to mention the lovely staff. Laundry facilities are free with your stay, which was a great perk. Highly recommend.

My fiance and i both agree this has been our best hotel experience so far. The Staff are so nice, we were in the lounge almost daily for the free evening drinks, the local fruit cider is amazing. They helped us alot with recommendations, reservations and even with my proposal to my then girlfriend. We are gonna miss this place and the people.

I can't believe what an amazing building this is. We stayed in the rooms with the lofts, and they are gorgeous and very well appointed. Each room had a turntable a guitar and lots of nice little amenities (I used the hot water bottle to sooth an aching shoulder). The guitar has a tuner on it too. The mini bar area is very well stocked, and it is quite reasonable priced. They want you to have a beer, and they're not going to make you pay £10 per beer like some hotels. We also got a keg in the room for a little bit more money, and there are of course the famous shower beers. The decor is really cool too--all based around their funky art they use for the beers. Even if you are not a big beer person, it is a great place to stay, The restaurant downstairs has delicious food with really nice portion sizes, and the breakfasts were included with our room--full breakfasts right off the menu, not a sad hotel breakfast. I especially recommend the vegan breakfast. We also got a free welcome beer and a free beer for not requesting towel laundry, although housekeeping did come every day to make the beds. They are well staffed and have lots of chill, friendly people there to help you out. Even if you're not staying at the hotel, go there to hang out in the bar or for brunch. They also have a nice terrace and patio to sit outside. The hotel is just a 10 minute walk from the last stop on the 100 Airport Bus, and it's really close to all the downtown sights. We were able to walk to just about every attraction from there. Finally, I have to say that it's a nice and quiet hotel too. It's on a quiet street, and the walls are very thick, plus there's two doors between you and the hall. I slept great there. Definitely a nice place to stay for anyone wanting to explore Edinburgh.

I absolutely loved the layout of the double cozy room. so fancy and so intimate. I loved our stay in your hotel the plus point was the proximity to the station and to the bustling parts of old town. I would highly recommend a stay here for an authentic Scottish experience.

I’m from Glasgow but haven’t lived there for many years. Great parks, great shops. Always something going on. Amazing pubs everywhere. Some with traditional musicians and theatre sessions (Oran Mor for “a play, a pie and a pint) Glasgow has a buzz of energy. Centuries of fascinating history, stories, legends. And you’re a couple of hours away from breathtaking natural beauty if you head north.

Oban is our place to catch a ferry to the islands and where we land on return. It is a busy town, the harbour and Dunollie being our chief interest the short time we are there, watching the ferries and other vessels sailing off or returning to harbour is always a pleasure. As such it always has an air of excitement about it, the anticipation of a ferry journey amongst and to beautiful islands. Therefore it is always a pleasure to be in Oban.

The hotel was very close to the bus stop which took us to Arbroath, a cute little village that we wanted to see. The bus station and cruise terminal were also close to the hotel. The dining options in Dundee were great, many to choose from, people in the shops friendly. The visit to the "Discovery" ship was great and would recommend this attraction. On the whole, it was easy to get around Dundee on foot or using the local bus. The local bus drivers were great and helpful to us as overseas visitors but some were very gruff, rude and unhelpful and assumed we would know things that as overseas visitors, we had no idea and spoke to us in a gruff and abrupt manner. This was the only detraction.

I love this neck of the woods.

I love this neck of the woods. Plenty to do if you are an outdoors person or just want a break from busy places. It is a nice laid back location where there is a lot less hassle. Lots of nice food places - either restaurants or take-aways and plenty of shops where you could buy your own food if you don't want to go out. Highly recommended. If the weather is not so good there are plenty of lovely places you can drive to within 45 minutes.
