A very good place for a short stay, pleasant to walk round with a good selection of eating establishments. Historic buildings and churches were good to visit and the castle on the hill ruling overall.Guest review byDAVIDUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Friendly people, smiling faces.
Friendly people, smiling faces. Very historic and amazing views from the Castle especially. 9 pubs within a 3 minute walk, all serving food. A plethora of restaurants, my favourite being Rustico which sells delicious Pastas and Pizzas. Fantastic bus services to and from surrounding towns and villages, stretching from Eastbourne to Brighton. Good train services and fast ones to London.Guest review byTim StephensSpain - 10.0

Visited Cowdray Park for a walk, Farm Shop and Cafe were great, also super Wood Fired Pizza's to take away in the evening, Midhurst main street has plenty of other food options Location great for Goodwood & PetworthGuest review byAnonymousUnited Kingdom - 10.0
A sweet little village shop full of fresh fruit and basics.
A sweet little village shop full of fresh fruit and basics. The village itself set in a beautiful part of the country, Eric Ravilious views everywhere. A range of pubs, some discreet luxury hotels now, some just relaxed medieval inns full of beams and cosy nooks. Independent, upmarket shops. Surrounded by walks and ancient churches, like St Michael's & All Angels at Berwick, which is unmatched for its calm simplicity and Bloomsbury artworkGuest review byGlynUnited Kingdom - 8.0
It was amazing!
It was amazing! I went with my then girlfriend who is now my fiancée, the staff went above and beyond to make it a special event for both of us, the room was set up for the big question and she loved every second of it, thanks to all involvedGuest review byEthanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We stayed at The Roundabout Hotel as it was in an ideal location for all that we had planned on our pre-Christmas break. Pulborough suited our needs and enabled us to visit our friends who live nearby and also Arundel, the Petworth and Goodwood, and Chichester. The scenery and adventures to be had in this area are second to none. So many lovely pubs offer so much great food.Guest review byKeithUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Besides having time with an old friend who lives in Steyning...
Besides having time with an old friend who lives in Steyning, I especially enjoyed walking up onto the Downs (via the Upper Horseshoe trail) and admiring the wonderful view of the Downs and the sea and the Weald of Sussex. I was impressed by the Community Orchard and the conservation scheme to re-establish species-rich chalk grassland. I made good use of the buses - would have been stranded without them! I enjoyed a brief visit to the parish church and was sorry not to have more time to have a good look round the museum. I enjoyed a good meal in an Italian restaurant near the Clock Tower.Guest review byGordonGermany - 8.0
Rottingdean is picturesque.
Rottingdean is picturesque. Little streets with old pubs, houses and a church. The windmill is gorgeous. Beaches have great walkways for kids, plus they are wheelchair accessible. Also loads of areas for walking up the hills with great views.Guest review byDasaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Petworth is a delightful small market town with many antique and independent shops, pubs and cafes, a well-stocked Co-op, a post office and a spectacular National Trust property! A regular bus service runs to Chichester and Midhurst which takes in spectacular views of the National Park. Some lovely tourists spots within very easy driving distance - we visited Fishbourne Roman Palace, Bosham, Chichester city and marina and stunning Arundel Castle.Guest review byBrianUnited Kingdom
