Location for this property is perfect near everything you need. Breakfast was amazing nicely done and a perfect start for a working day.

Set in a rural location, just off junction 14 of the M5, the hotel is perfect for visiting Bristol and exploring the Cotswold countryside. Only used the room and breakfast rooms. Might have used the Bar area if my parneter was able to come. All room I used were well laid out and very clean.

King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn slept in one of the bedchambers and walked through the ancient gardens at Thornbury Castle - A Relais & Chateaux Hotel, a Tudor castle near the Cotswolds and Welsh... What an enchanting place suffused with so much history! You could feel the ghosts of Henry the VIII and his wives and mistresses wandering the gardens and the halls. We were luck with the weather - sunshiny and summerlike - and spent the late afternoon and early evening sitting out in one of the gardens listening to the blackbird songs. The dinner in the library was excellent - everything prepared with infinite care and attention. And the service was attentive but not intrusive. The gardens, a recent labor of love, are just now coming into full realization. A perfect stay.
