- From $167.45 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 770 reviewsThis gave my wife and I a chance to stay in a proper quirky Manor House. What was surprising was the award winning Indian Restaurant operating also in the house, which has been voted in the top ten in UK. The food and service was amazing and the hallway gallery with the awards and press clippings for the restaurant and the history of the house back to the 1700's. Our room was huge with a beautiful bathroom and very comfortable bed and big windows to open. We slept well. This has certainly been a highlight of our trip from Australia. The staff were just great, friendly and chatty and Ollie the cat at reception thinks he is the owner of the Manor.Guest review byGeoffreyAustralia

swansea is fantastic from the beaches to the mumbles, nice to see the slip bridge and the big apple. Had a good wonder around swansea market. meals out at bracelet bay and nines restaurant food was a bit cool but cooked to perfection and a good selection. Parking was a pain as if you were at caswell bay, there was no signal to pay. would I go again ..yeah as soon as I can.Guest review bysmith - 8.0
A nice place with an excellent shopping centre.
A nice place with an excellent shopping centre. Disappointed with the lack of green areas in the centre. People, including shop staff, were very nice and helpful. However it was difficult to find somewhere to eat what we like (traditional English meals). Ended up with tasteless junk takeaway. We did not bring transport but did not need to go anywhere that was not walkable, other than we would have liked to have found a suitable eatery nearer the city centre, because we have a dog and even if allowed, he does not travel well on buses. We are not a young couple and it looked like there was little for us to do in the evenings.Guest review byTomUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Chepstow is "picture-book town" with cobble stoned, narrow...
Chepstow is "picture-book town" with cobble stoned, narrow winding roads, lined by beautiful terraced houses, each front-door in different colour. Countless flower-pedestals, flowerpots and troughs everywhere in public spaces - are all overwhelming "charm-overdrive" for the senses. The amassing people of Chepstow are genuinely welcoming, with their broadest smiles from the heart. IT WAS LIKE BEING LOST IN A CHILDREN'S STORY BOOK. We kept singing `Balamory....' everywhere we went in Chepstow. Colin’s ice-cream shop serves LOVE & HAPPINESS with their ice-cream. Chepstow Castle, Museum, the Old Wye Bridge, The Riverside Pub - with live music bouncing off the rock-face of the cliff across the river, The Boat Inn with their lovely food, St Mary's Church with its beautiful architecture of the past - They all come to gather, to create a land of magic. CHEPSTOW IS A DREAM YOU DON'T WANT TO WAKE UP FROM. Do go and experience this hidden world of charm.Guest review byDavid JosephCanada - 4.0
Towels old, grey and thin. Room NOT serviced.
Towels old, grey and thin. Room NOT serviced. Got fresh towels from Reception. Bathroom had no sink plug which made wet shaving by my husband difficult to do. Shower floor very slippy when shower was in use - no bath mat, no hand grip. No bath mat for outside of shower. No soap in shower dispenser. Poor lighting, room very dark. No spare pillows We paid for bed & breakfast a dreceived a cardboard box containing cornflakes, UHT milk carton, an oat biscuit, pan au chocolates, tiny bottle of water, spoon and tissue. I am diabetic - totally unsuitable and would not have taken booking had we known. Room was clean but very strong breath taking smell of bleach which lingered for hours. Bed linen satisfactory. . Bed had a roll together mattress.Guest review byJohns - 10.0

Merthyr is my home town but I moved away 45 years ago for work purposes. It is steeped in history and played a major part in the industrial revolution. Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park is neardby. Within easy reach are Cardiff, Swansea, Abergavenny and so on, so a great base to work from. If you are into mountain biking Bike Park Wales is based on the outskirts of Merthyr.Guest review byCorneliusUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Nice little seaside town, full of charm and a must for Gavin and Stacey fans. Very quiet out of season. There seems to be a lot of building work going on to improve facilities. Not too over commercialised, nice sandy beach with good selection of snack bars and cafes. Finegans Spanish style restaurant is brilliant with great staff. The railway station is situated on the seafront with good connections to Cardiff and local areas.Guest review byGarryUnited Kingdom - 10.0

great variety of shops, restaurants etc , good location for Breacon Beacon walking trails, love how the town is easy to navigate due to plenty of pedestrianised streets and those streets are full of flower boxesGuest review byClodaghIreland - 6.0
The room was a good size. Location was great.
The room was a good size. Location was great. Parking was helpful. Unfortunately the front house stafs were miserable to deal with. We were woken up very early and asked to leave despite paying for late check-out. He didnt belive and asked us to provide the proof of payment. Imagine if we couldn't find the receipt. Surely there are systems they have in place to check this. It ruined our morning as we planned on having a lie-in. The while point of our late check-out was defeated.Guest review byAmara DavidUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Although the main attraction has been the Fairground for years, there is plenty to see in Porthcawl. There are some lovely independent shops as well as the usual high street types. There is also a wonderful Museum that is situated in what was the Police Station, a must visit if you are a museum enthusiast. The beaches are a lovely place to take children where they can also explore rock pools. There are plenty of walks in the area, with a nature reserve and plenty of public houses to take a breather at along your walk. There is also Trecco Bay, a wonderful caravan park, if that is the type of holiday you want. They have a Pavilion with loads of entertainment. There are loads of places to eat as well, with the usual fish and chip places, and restaurants too. A great place to visit.Guest review byAnonymousUnited Kingdom
