I personally loved the location. It is a bit out of town from Conwy, but it is on a very nice piece of land with nearby mountain views. The breakfast was one of the best meals I had during my trip in the UK - pancakes, boiled eggs set to your preferred doneness, meats, cheeses, breads, even fresh honeycomb! The room was very quiet and spacious, and the bed was quite comfortable.

This gave my wife and I a chance to stay in a proper quirky Manor House. What was surprising was the award winning Indian Restaurant operating also in the house, which has been voted in the top ten in UK. The food and service was amazing and the hallway gallery with the awards and press clippings for the restaurant and the history of the house back to the 1700's. Our room was huge with a beautiful bathroom and very comfortable bed and big windows to open. We slept well. This has certainly been a highlight of our trip from Australia. The staff were just great, friendly and chatty and Ollie the cat at reception thinks he is the owner of the Manor.

The Food was very tasty and we loved having Breakfast every morning in the Sun Room facing the Ocean. The room was spacious and very comfortable and they provided soft Robes and slippers. The Tea and Coffee set up also had Hot Chocolate and cookies. Delicious!! The Staff was wonderfully pleasant and helpful. We would definitely stay there again and again!! Thank you!

My family needed a location in HolyHead that could accommodate 14 people for a small memorial gathering honoring the life of my parents. Making arrangements from here in the USA was a challenge, the staff at the Trearrdur was outstanding, they were engaged, responsive, and extremely helpful. Once we arrived the staff on site was always available and the room they provided us was set up beautifully.

It felt like a was visiting a manor house for a visit rather than the usual hotel. We had dinner at Le Dragon Rouge and we all declared it was the best food we had during our entire trip! Kudos to the chef. Likewise the staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and the old-fashioned elevator a real adventure to use.

Cardiff Bay is lovely a great regeneration project, although there is quite a lot more building going on. Cardiff Castle is well worth a visit. Local buses and trains are excellent. St Fagans is well worth the bus trip, we could really have done with having 2 days there to look round, and it's FREE!

This is a super seaside town.

This is a super seaside town. There are two beaches - a quiet one on West Shore and the main beach with its long promenade and the pier. The hotels around the curved bay are beautifully designed and all kept in good condition. Behind the hotels is Mostyn Street with an excellent collection of national and local shops - a very vibrant high street which is unusual these days. The choice of places to eat is amazing. Llandudno is also a great base from which to explore North Wales.

Swansea is on the coastline, it should be enjoyable.

Swansea is on the coastline, it should be enjoyable. I didn't see any beaches though, just brown sand and lots of rocks by the ocean. Every time I stepped out and I only went to a Tesco superstore near the Marina, I was followed and hounded by clueless and delusional creeps selling drugs, which is illegal. They would stink up the areas I was walking by with Marijuana; it was disgusting! I wish I had visited the Swansea Marina, the ruins from the Castle and the waterfall. The bad guys were everywhere including in the places I stayed. I wanted to buy a new handbag and some electronics but I felt nauseated at the prospect of going out, so I didn't buy anything. From one of the apartments I stayed, I could see people walking to participate in the Scavenger Hunts they had during the summer. There was also an event at a parking lot across the street that I decided not to go for safety reasons. Traveling is certainly no longer the fun it used to be.

A nice place with an excellent shopping centre.

A nice place with an excellent shopping centre. Disappointed with the lack of green areas in the centre. People, including shop staff, were very nice and helpful. However it was difficult to find somewhere to eat what we like (traditional English meals). Ended up with tasteless junk takeaway. We did not bring transport but did not need to go anywhere that was not walkable, other than we would have liked to have found a suitable eatery nearer the city centre, because we have a dog and even if allowed, he does not travel well on buses. We are not a young couple and it looked like there was little for us to do in the evenings.

Pretty Village focused around a railway station within a steep sided valley. Several camping / outdoor shops but don't expect bargains as the prices are similar or even slightly higher than elsewhere due to the "captive audience" of people in the area to enjoy the outdoors. Many eating out options, most of which are also hotels and offer broadly similar menus of "pub grub" / "grill" type food. Also a very popular Indian restaurant and a couple of Pizza places, and one Tapas. The Chinese was closed when we visited. If you prefer to self cater there is a Spar and a Londis with a decent bakery within the Spar. We visited at the end of the school holiday season and we thought all the food places were surprisingly quiet except the Pizza place in the station, the curry house and the Royal Oak hotel. There also didn't seem to be any sign of "nightlife" to speak of, even on Friday night (maybe people are too tired after outdoor activities?). Some establishments only opened Friday and Saturday nights. Its a good base for the area being at the junction of two main road routes. You can also walk straight out of the village with several way marked routes of varying difficulty, or just doing your own map reading. You can easily spend a day browsing the shops and cafes and taking in the pretty Pont-y-Pair and river rapids. However by day two, you will probably be ready to explore further.
