- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 4,175 reviewsThe Genting is honestly such a beautiful hotel and it's really neat how it's in the middle of basically a shopping center/mall aka the Resorts World. If you stay at the Genting Hotel, you can be sure there's plenty for you to see and do! There was even an arcade kind of thing with fun and cool looking machines and games at the Resorts World and plenty of restaurants too, just to name a few examples! The breakfast at the Genting was good too! The twin room we stayed in is the biggest twin room I've ever been in, and it was very clean and comfy too! I'm being honest when I say it was absolutely perfect for me and my father! There were so many amenities as well, such as a hairdryer with a cold air feature and an iron + rack!! And I absolutely adored the bathtub! I haven't been in a bathtub since I was a kid so being able to experience a bath again after so very long was very nostalgic, haha! The bathroom itself was also pretty big and NOT cramped and tiny! We stayed at the Genting for a nearby convention which I plan on returning to each year and after my stay at the Genting, I wouldn't ever choose another hotel and will always choose this one! The staff were incredibly friendly too!Guest review byYukiNetherlands
- From $230.49 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 2,817 reviewsThis hotel is so pretty and well decorated. The hotel itself is like a mini museum. Everywhere you look, there is something interesting to see. We went during Christmas time so it was even more decorated. Room were great size and everthing was clean and comfortable. Reception lady with the blond hair was really kind and sweet. Garden around the castle is also very nice for a walk. I did not try the restaurant so i cant comment, but i did order room service: baked camembert and periperi hashbrown tots, both were phenomenal, thumbs up to the chef!Guest review byRoxanneUnited Arab Emirates

I was pleasantly surprised with the city, clean and friendly. Be aware that the restaurants stop serving food earlier than other places I have been too, unless surviving on fast food is an option for you. A lot to see and do. The train station is quite difficult to navigate to begin with,Guest review byIAIN ON THE ROAD.United Kingdom - 8.0
Good location for Newmarket race course and the M11.
Good location for Newmarket race course and the M11. the 24/7 bar and kitchen was a pleasant surprise as we didnt get in until 11.30pm from the concert. Breakfast was good but not as good as other IHG hotels I have stayed in. Less choice and the coffee machine that day was not working.Guest review byFrancesSpain - 10.0

Lovely city with the cathedral, art gallery and transport museum to visit. They continue to make improvements to the city centre, and walking around there is really pleasant with the water features and plantation. Plenty of choices to eat and drink.Guest review byWendyUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Was assigned a room, however the room had a stranger sleeping in. Called host in which he was blunt and made sure I messaged him. Given a different room, which had no working lock. Doors to garden were accessible through my room however the door was able to be opened by anyone. Didn’t feel safe or cleanGuest review byAnonymous - 10.0

A fantastic welcome and excellent service at the bar by ever cheerful and helpful Shannon. Food was fresh and excellent. Pricing strategies a bit confusing because u had to join and download the app! Food & Drinks were too expensive on the normal menu. However happy hour was very reasonably priced. 😊Guest review byMarcUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Beautiful hotel and location, lovely comfortable and relaxing furnishings and seating. Great breakfast with lots of choices. Room bathroom was dated with poor shower. Not enough catering choice for bitter beer drinkers which was disappointing.Guest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Good hotel for the price I paid can’t complain at all in fact will recommend and will be return customer for sure. Entrance from the main road to the hotel is bit confusing but I am sure after one wrong turn it will be managed . Breakfast was good had all the options available. Hot sausage Vegan option is available which I did not know at the time of stay. It would be nice to add halal sausage as well Beds were comfortable very nice and clean room but body lotion can be a good addition to the collection.Guest review byJamilUnited Kingdom - 2.0
HORRIBLE ! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE!
HORRIBLE ! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! Booked 3 rooms . 1 was a disable room ( It is a disaster waiting to capture another victim ) When i found out , i cancelled that room . I was left with 2 rooms. Got into the room, and it was boiling hot. No AC. I asked and was told that was the only room and that i should manage the room , till the next morning. They got a fan and i told them that i don't do well with a fan. (they pleaded , began to promise an upgrade, free food , if only i could just spend the night . Now this was almost midnight because we got in there very late . I told them that i need to check out . i Called booking.com to in form them , they called the hotel and the hotel told them they had offered me heaven and earth . ( I was cajoled to spend the night there over my safety and comfort ) The next morning , i booked another hotel and checked out . I called booking.com to inform them that i was checking out and booking.com called the hotel back and the hotel told the lady frombooking.com that they would process my FULL refund . Today makes it 2 weeks and this hotel has not refunded my 4 nights stay that i paid in FULL for . They keep passing me around staff after staff. The person responsible for the refund never gets to work till 3pm . A peep into their restaurant is appalling . I am a frequent traveler who looks forward to English breakfast , but i would have fallen ill if i tasted the food. Display of food is an eyesore . Hopefully , this hotel will refund the money that i paid . Their communication is ZERO . Neither has booking.com been of help to recover my refund . This hotel is rubbish . I eventually stayed the rest of my time in birmingham at CLAYTON HOTEL.Guest review byAmy EUnited Kingdom
