- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.4Good - What previous guests thought, 220 reviewsI discovered the Cambridge Hotel over thirty years ago, before the new extension was built, whilst working in West Yorkshire. Now retired, I do not even consider staying anywhere else when regularly visiting the area with my wife for the superb Wednesday evening jazz sessions in a nearby pub and the excellent real ales that abound in the pubs around the railway station. The hotel is located just outside the town centre, about 10mins walk from the station, but it has free secure undercover parking if you drive. This hotel is excellent value for money and you will not be disappointed.Guest review byChrisUnited Kingdom

the location, price, breakfast was good.
the location, price, breakfast was good. Let down by the parking fee @ £20, room small, toiletries very cheap, used my own. Went for a funeral so didn't look around, but went to the city center for food as more choice for Gluten Free.Guest review bySuzieUnited Kingdom - 4.0
No real reason to visit.
No real reason to visit. It’s a functional place for the people who live there or travel through. In my humble opinion one would not choose to visit Bradford in the way that one would choose to visit Harrogate or York for instance.Guest review byGraemeUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Coinidentallly, the roads are being re-designed around the town centre. PLUS the trains had stopped for some reason and there was replacement bus services from Brighouse - to Hudds & back. Even the pavements re-directed eeryone to other options. Not easy for disabled/less able and like me (awaiting hip replacement with a painful knee). It was just one - sorry - two of those things. food at Wetherspoons (Lord Harold wilson) was spot on and the serice was excellent. Went to the whiterose. Restaurant standard food in a clean and pleasant atmosphere.Guest review byWayneUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Everything close together, didn't have to walk far to be where you wanted to be. People are really friendly and we got to know some locals. Most people there love dogs and will stop you, so they can say hello to your dog. Beautiful buildings and trees everywhere. Loads of places to eat and drink. We loved the wrinkled stocking cafe, breakfast was amazing! The Holmfirth Tavern have food offers on a Monday and Wednesday, we had the steak for £10 each which was lovely. Holmfirth coffee shop, (near the Co-Op) lovely food, coffee and cakes! We met a local called Ken in there, he was such a lovely man and we bumped into him a few times afterwards in the town. The Archive, also did great coffees. Market on a Thursday in the Co-op car park and sells fresh fruit, only on in the morning though, we got there too late. Of course if you like Last of the Summer Wine, there are places to visit such as Sid's cafe, (right in the centre of town) Nora Batty's steps up to her cottage, the museum just under the Wrinkled stocking cafe, (check opening times on the door).Guest review byMrs Jill EvansUnited Kingdom - 10.0

One of the best places to go for walking, views and fresh air.. lovely to shop, lots of independent shops, enough bars, restaurants and cafes to choose from, it's a shame it' was quite in the evening and we had to dash around to find a place serving food after 8pm (pub) or eat in a restaurant ,but we did stay midweek.Guest review bySharronUnited Kingdom
