Very good B&B, very well located, with a comfortable room and a good shower. Fantastic breakfast. An extremely nice supporting room for guests, with a very good infrastructure. Very kind staff. As part of the B&B infrastructure, there is an attached cozy Pub. Drinks can be consumed in a beautiful and relaxing external area, as an extension of the B&B.

The staff were very helpful in helping us find free parking nearby since their car lot was full. We LOVED the all-window dining room, where we sat for dinner, staring out into the sea. There seems to be a lot of closed up cafes /business premises in Kyleakin. Its a sprawling sort of place, maybe we hit it at a bad time. I would not have been too keen to stay there but for our cottage which was fabulous and if we had been staying longer it would have been a lovely house to base oneself in for trips to the rest of the island.

Stornoway is an interesting little town with Lews castle and grounds well worth a visit. It is a very good starting point to explore some of the island-places to visit include Callanish standing stones, the Black House, the Black House village and the broch, all of which are on the one road that leads directly out of Stornoway. There is also Harris to visit and famous and stunning beaches, but we ran out of time !

The entire location is stunning. Be prepared for lots of photos. Just walk along the row of shops, get some fish and chips or an ice cream and enjoy the view. Some accommodation places are high up on the hill so if mobility is a problem then recommend down on waterfront level. Most accommodations have rooms up stairs as well. I would return again. Tobermory is just beautiful.

Dunvegan was quite central to travelling across Skye for our various planned activities - whisky tour, puffin tour, walking Quiraing, Fairy Pools and Old Man of Storr. The two shops had enough for the grocery essentials and there were several cafes and restaurants to provide choice. The castle was interesting though a bit pricey.

A trip here needs time to enjoy the environment around and at the hotel. It is not very near a large town but a village is not far away. But that also makes it special. Make sure to get there during daylight as the roads leading to the hotel are not highways. The food was delicious and well proportioned. We wanted to stay there for longer.
