As a single mother on vacation with her kids, I didnt have to worry about anything at this hotel. The staff are amazing, caring and creative. They were even able to organize babysitting hours, so I could go for a swim by myself. The rooms are brilliant, waking up to the view of the sea is indescribable. The pool was very enjoyable and also the breakfast was very generous. Also the Location is perfect, its only a little walk to the city center. Looking forward to returning to Hyperion.

Seems the hotel was renovated recently - everything is new and smells like in a new car there! One of the best staff I've ever met - they are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is fantastic - menu is slightly rotated every morning. The location is fabulous: 2 mins to the bus station where you can get to the airport, 5 mins to the old city center and old port, 10 mins to Nea Chora Beach.

Exceptional from beginning to end. Helpful and communicative with arrival and taxi for departure. Delicious breakfast with offerings for all. I loved how comfortable the seat was at the breakfast lounge. Cozy and quaint modern room. Perfect for solo travelers. Location allowed to add my fitness steps in but not far at all from all the shops and restaurants. Frankly, it allowed me to see a bit of the local culture. I'd probably choose one of their big rooms if I traveled as a couple, but the queen standard I booked could serve its purpose, too.

Beautiful hotel. The pool was quite big! And the pool área is really nice to chill in. Our room was clean, well equiped and beautiful. Staff went above and beyond to help us with our every need. You will have a superb view while eating breakfast which is homemade. Parking in the área can be difficult but old town is just 10 minutes down the street and when you want to go back you can catch a taxi for 5 euro which we did every night. Stay here as many nights as you can!!!

    It was a wonderful stay in Iolida beach, it was so comfortable to be there. There are no luxury design or a lot of events, but it was so cozy, clean and the food was amazing! It was the most delicious all inclusive in my whole live. Stuff was super friendly, we felt like we were at home there. The beach was clean, sea was amazing and we could find sun beds at every time of the day. Our room was a bit far from the beach in second part of the hotel, but we had a wonderful sea view and it was super quiet there

    As part of our honeymoon trip, we intended to know Crete and chose Daios Cove for our stay. But the resort is so good that we didn’t got out of it. The room is spacious, modern and cosi. The pool and beach area and the views are wonderful. The restaurants are excellent, specially the Ocean, where we brightly closed our last night. Do recommend. Finally, the staff is impeccable.

    The host was accommodating and recommended some of the best restaurants in Crete. The view of the castle was spectacular and the room was very comfortable, not huge but big enough.     When we weren't swimming or sunbathing, we spent most of our time in Chania Old Town and the Venetian Port. It does get very busy, but there are lots of gift shops and tavernas to explore. Dont miss the Domenico ice cream shop - amazing flavours, and very entertaining to watch how it's made. Further into the city, you'll find a broader range of shops and small cafes offering tempting Cretan snacks and pastries. Surprisingly, the central bus station has a great cafe with nice take-away cakes and snacks.

    The town was buzzing and full of life. Some excellent restaurants (peskesi a stand out) Beaches were stunning especially when blessed with perfect summer weather. BUT, the traffic is terrible, parking is difficult, road-rules are optional and the lane-ways are very narrow. Visiting Knossos is an absolute must.

    As it’s built into the mountains, reasonable mobility is desirable, however it is disable friendly and the taxis are cheap, On site there are lots of steps and inclines to the facilities, as well as lifts, but I’m sure a persons needs could be accommodated to all the pools and restaurants. I’m 71 and managed to walk into town/star beach ok, enjoyed the exercise tbh! Overall the hotel is brilliant for families with children of all ages. I would go back for sure! The town is superb, so much choice for eating/drinking out, shopping good, usual touristy stuff! People are friendly and very helpful.

    We loved Agios Nicolaos.

    We loved Agios Nicolaos. It’s a bustling port town but still small enough around the port area to be lovely. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from. We did a boat trip to Spinalonga, which was excellent. We also took a cab to visit Plaka and Elounda and another to Kritsa the following day.

    Kissamos offered us a wonderful mix of relaxation and local charm. The nightlife was a pleasant surprise, with cozy bars and lively tavernas where we enjoyed delicious food and drinks. Evening walks through the town square and the nearby streets filled with local shops and traditional products were some of the highlights of our stay. It's a great place for couples looking for a laid-back yet authentic Cretan experience.

    Malia is a great base for exploring eastern Crete,as it is well served by public transport,car hire is easy and reasonable,but if you just want to eat,drink ,sunbathe and play in a pool,on a beach or in a club or bar it is great too.

    Difficult to judge because we came early in the season when there was a cold wind blowing and not all the places were open. However, there didn't seem to be many places to eat [not a problem for us as there was one excellent place, though would be a problem peak season] . There were a number of apparently abandoned and ill-maintained buildings, which made the place appear less attractive.

    Palaiochora is a little piece of Paradise. Fantastic beaches , food and scenery. We hired a car and drove around the area, a little scary as the roads in the mountains are rather challenging. We hope to return to this very romantic location some day .

    lovely holiday spot, plenty of shops and restaurants, everyone extremely friendly and helpful. About an hour from airport, went to spinalonga and did a few walks, also did the 4 hour train ride which was lovely to see mountains, bit of history etc, wasnt too hot. Both of the bays were good and safe for swimming - one of them a bit pebbly getting in, the other was fine. Supermarkets well stocked. Elounda is flat so easy for walking although pavements a little bumpy. All very accessible and walkable
