It’s a wonderful place to visit, and about 3 to 4 days are usually enough to cover most of the highlights. We tried the hop-on hop-off bus tour, but it took the entire day and felt quite slow because of heavy traffic, so I’d recommend staying near the city center instead—you can easily walk around and explore on foot. A half-day trip to the Temple of Poseidon is worth it, especially for the stunning sunset views. Don’t miss the Acropolis, and definitely consider joining a walking food tour to experience the local flavors. Overall, it has been a great experience so far. Be prepared for lots of walking on uneven pavements and stone roads, so bring a good pair of sneakers. If time allows, I highly recommend visiting Santorini—stay at least two nights and take the 8-hour bus tour, which also includes a wine-tasting experience. While there, make sure to visit the black sand beach, perfect for swimming in crystal-clear water set against a beautiful backdropGuest review byPoonamUnited States - 10.0

Chania has everything - history, charm, restaurants, shops, plenty to do and see, or simply for sea and sand, which are in walking distance. We did two coach trips, and didn't need to hire a car. The locals were kind and funny and relaxed - great atmosphere.Guest review bySusan - 10.0

Very cool city with lots to explore on the island via the many bus routes. A little expensive, but not too much worse than we found in Athens. Very walkable, and not too crowded to the point of it being detrimental to the experience. The beaches are absolutely beautiful!Guest review byCaitlinCanada - 6.0
The town was buzzing and full of life.
The town was buzzing and full of life. Some excellent restaurants (peskesi a stand out) Beaches were stunning especially when blessed with perfect summer weather. BUT, the traffic is terrible, parking is difficult, road-rules are optional and the lane-ways are very narrow. Visiting Knossos is an absolute must.Guest review byGeorgeAustralia - 8.0
You have to be prepared for what is a very hilly town.
You have to be prepared for what is a very hilly town. The worse times are when the cruise ships arrive, that’s when it’s worth visiting other parts of Santorini. Get the timing right and Fira offers many first class Greek restaurants. Those without views over the Caldera are often more affordable.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

I traveled with my daughter & grandson from the US to London for a couple of days, then flew to Athens for a cruise leaving the next day. We made our way out of Athens to stay at the cruise port. We were exhausted but our time at the Seaside Hotel was a wonderful reprieve. It was charming, everyone so friendly and accommodating. I regret that we didn't have more time to enjoy it.Guest review byMary LisaUnited States - 10.0
Amazing Resort and extensive facilities on site.
Amazing Resort and extensive facilities on site. Staff are amazing. Also one of the best mani/pedi I ever had at the salon. Resort is about 30 minutes from airport, and would say for a 5* Europe resort, this lives up to expectation, but don't compare to a 5* Caribbean or Mexico Resort, so bear that in mind. We stayed at the Ocean view room which had spectacular views. The Rocky beach was just fantastic with the lounges and beds, and considering how busy this resort is, never noticed it and never felt overcrowded, and you never had to reserve benches or lounges by the beach or pool, there was more than enough to go round and even more spare. A la Carte restaurants that were amazing and my favourites are Umi (Sushi), Azzuro (Italian), Thalassa for breakfast & lunch, Poseidon. A real let down of the restaurants was Nami, only delicious items were the Starters. Staff at this resort were fantastic overall, but special thanks to the following: Anastasi, Konstantina, Angelina, Ritsa and Lucas.Guest review byBandeleUnited Kingdom - 4.0
Our ferry was cancelled due to severe weather.
Our ferry was cancelled due to severe weather. Naxos Chora offer free cancellation up to 3pm on the day of arrival. I notified the hotel before 3pm on the arrival day that we could not arrive on the island & wished to cancel that night. We were told later that a refund was not allowed.Guest review byJulieUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Charming and beautiful.
Charming and beautiful. Rethymno by day is a semi-bustling city and by night comes to life as a relaxing beautiful paradise. The beaches are heavenly with easy access and the old town precinct is truly wonderful. For a magnificent family dining experience, we thoroughly enjoyed the hospitable people at Evanthia’s. Enjoy the Rakomelo!Guest review byGeorgeAustralia - 10.0

I mostly stayed near Kos Town and walked everywhere, averaging about 40k steps a day. I highly recommend learning to ride a bike or, even better, a motorcycle. Renting a car is a good choice, but parking can be tricky.Guest review byGirayTurkey
