- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 250 reviewsThe hotel was just a 7-minute walk from the main harbor where we arrived from Athens. We got there way too early before check-in, but the staff greeted us warmly and the host went out of their way to find us an available room - something that doesn't happen often. The room was spacious and clean with a walk-in shower and lovely aesthetic touches. We had everything we needed, the area was peaceful with several good restaurants nearby. It was a really great place to stay, and I have only positive memories of our time there.Guest review byPaulinaPoland
- From $124.89 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 724 reviewsExcelent location, very close from the port ( less than 50.m on a flat way - just a very short walk 1 minute from the landind area tio the hotel door). The room was cosy, very clean (evry day cleaning and changing towels) and it had a large beautiful private terrace with a lot of flowers in large red pots and with a retractable canopy.. The staf was very kind and helpfull - we could let our luggage after we have checked out until we have decided to get the boat back to the mainland.. We will be very happy to return there.Guest review byRemusRomania
- From $1,648.82 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 107 reviewsThe location was lovely, quiet and remote. The property was picturesque and tidy. We loved the beach area with the sun-beds and umbrellas. The restaurant was really good; the included breakfast was wonderful! The staff were friendly and very helpful, transporting our bags and making reservations for us. The private, complimentary ferry was an amazing perk. I wish we could have booked one of the tours on the larger boat, but we just didn’t have time. Next time!Guest review byKattieUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 145 reviewsThe views, room amenities, staff helpfulness are all pluses to the Hotel Hydra. When I chose the hotel, I knew it was up a long path with many stairs. However, the views at the hotel and the surrounding sights made the walk worth it. The signage is good so it is difficult to get lost. The area around the hotel has an historic mansion and the family home of a famous artist. Both were excellent and interesting visits.Guest review byAnthony JUnited States

Great location - close to port but still out of the busy area and noise. Very clean and well managed. The daily delivery of water was very nice. The breakfast buffet was wonderful - so much to choose from! The service was exceptional and staff was very friendly - especially Georgia, who was so helpful and made a birthday dinner very special at Castello.Guest review bySarah J.United States

Hydra island blew me away with it’s beauty The people were helpful and friendly Eat at many restaurants all had great food, and stunning views of the harbour The night life does not start until 9pm and goes late in to the night Breakfast before 9/30am is a little difficult as most restaurants are not fully openGuest review byAlexSouth Africa - 10.0
Mandraki was a hidden gem of a place, only a 20-minute walk...
Mandraki was a hidden gem of a place, only a 20-minute walk along the coast from Hydra Town, but away from all the hustle and bustle and with its own little beach and taverna - everything you could possibly need for a deeply relaxing holiday.Guest review byTanyaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
I loved this island.
I loved this island. It was so charming and such a slow lifestyle, which is definitely what I needed (and I'm sure a lot of people need on vacation). You could spend hours in the harbor watching boats go by, or take a water taxi to the different beaches around the Island. I didn't get to do it, but I wish I did Harriet's Horses while I was there. It's a small company that takes people throughout the island on horseback. I contacted the woman who ran it, and she was so kind. GO TO THIS ISLAND! It is incredible, I truly don't know how anyone could not be so in love with it.Guest review byRadkeUnited States - 10.0
Hydra was my favorite stop in Greece.
Hydra was my favorite stop in Greece. Lovely little island, no cars, lots of art, cute unique boutiques, easy access to interesting sites… not too much touristy junk. Food was delicious and affordable.Guest review bySamUnited States
