Corfu is a naturally beautiful island. The scenery, beaches, hikes and local people are great. However, the number of tourists (including us) are a problem. Excess traffic (land and water), crowding and the resulting garbage would affect our ability to recommend a visit to others. There should be limitations placed on the number of visitors at any given time. Car and other vehicle rentals should be limited to locals. Visitors should take taxis or preferably buses only. Family own and operated, very attentive and accommodating to your needs. Kavos was great fun with lots of bars and a nice compact strip. Lots of excursion options (I recommend the day trip to Corfu old town) and a beach just next to the strip. Only thing that let it down was it was not very busy at all end of august so a lot of the bars were quite empty and prompted reps to almost harass you into the bars. Lots of great places to eat but absolutely ginormous portions which I found a bit overwhelming at times. We loved Tsilivi, it is not too quiet and not too busy. There are plenty of good restaurants, the beach is very nice as well with a smooth entry in the water and a long distance until it becomes too deep. Most of the beach has suneds, a pair + an umbrella starts at 20 euros a day. There are also a few places to go for fun activities such as mini golf, bowling, pool and a game arena. Sidari was too British for me and lacked the greek culture that I have found in other resorts or greek islands. But some people may like it. If you enjoy home from home, Sunday roast, tribute acts and karaoke then you'll probably love it here.
