SloveniaYou notice the hotel the second you arrive by ferry — it’s one of the biggest buildings around and sits proudly at the top of the hill overlooking the port. We decided to walk there with all of our luggage, including a 20kg suitcase, which sounded like a great idea for about three minutes. After that we quickly realised the walk is actually quite long and especially steep, as you have to conquer quite a few elevation meters. Definitely recommend taking a taxi or renting a scooter/car instead (the prices around town are very reasonable, and your legs will thank you later).
The whole property is extremely well maintained, spotless, and just feels nice the moment you walk in. The rooms are spacious and equipped with basically everything you might need: toiletries, loads of towels, hair dryer, iron, kettle, toaster, all kinds of glasses and little extras that make the stay more comfortable. They’ve clearly thought things through. Even the minibar prices (at least for water and chocolate ) were surprisingly reasonable, which honestly feels rare these days.
The breakfast was exceptionally good — abundant, very diverse, and made with high quality, tasty ingredients. Everything was beautifully and thoughtfully presented and it really stood out in the best way. It is also served in a very pleasant way, with everything brought directly to your individual table. The host was warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, which made us feel at home right away.
The view over the city is also beautiful, and it would really be the cherry on top if one day the breakfast area could be moved to the rooftop.
A couple of small things could make the stay even better: bigger beds, mosquito screens on the windows, and maybe hair conditioner since they already provide pretty much everything else anyway. The mosquitoes treated me like an all-you-can-eat buffet during the night.

GermanyI spent a whole week at Kaloniki and it was simply amazing! ❤️ Kalotina and Nikita, the 2 hosts and owners, are such warm hearted people and they made me feel at home instantly. Every morning they served me a 5* breakfast and we had such a fun time joking around. They also shared a lot of their family and Kalymnos’ history and gave me great advice on where to go and what to do!
And the view from their terrace and the rooms‘ balconies is simply spectacular with the sun setting in front of you every night!! Also, the house is located very centrally and all restaurants, the ferry to Telendos and activities are walkable, and at the same time it’s very quiet since there’s no road close by. The rooms are furnished in a modern way with high quality furniture and kitchen equipment.
What a wonderful time! I will definitely come back ☺️

We had a fantastic time at AEGEAN Home Studios! Our studio was basic and traditionally furnished, and it had everything we needed. The location is perfect — close to supermarkets, restaurants, shops and bars, yet quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. It’s also within walking distance for manx of the climbing sectors, which was super convenient.
Louis, the host, is a great guy! He organized everything we needed and was always up for a friendly chat. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely come back.

The hotel has spectacular location, you have amazing view of the sea and on the other side of the mountines, whixh are climber heaven :) we didnt know that before booking :) the vies is something to see. The “Grande Grotta” is woooow. The pool is great, the atmosphere is amazing, Kalymnos is love at first side. Its still not touristish and still you find here little shops, amazing people and restaurants. Definitely worth to visit

Very nice place, hosts are very kind and they are always ready to help you. Lovely place with great view from the balcony.
( The Google map show the wrong place, but if you put Avras Kalymnos to map- then it is a correct place.)
The apartapents situated near the main road where you can easily find shops, restaurants and bars.

The location was really nice - close to the beach and close to Il Posto in Panormos and the AB. Evi was nice and kind and very attentive during our stay. It was so peaceful in the area but close enough to shops, gas stations and restaurants. We oved our stay at Evi's and would be happy to go back.

Danielle and Herre were wonderful hosts for our honeymoon, from a surprise bottle of prosecco to making sure our ferry made it back to Kos during some high winds. If you're looking at making a trip to Kalymnos we would recommend you stay here!

attractive island not inundated with tourists recommend a trip to Myrties and another to Vathy. No one was sure about the opening times of the archaeological museum which was a shame - seems up to the whim of the custodian

The relatively quiet and friendly location with lovely views, very Greek island with narrow roads and very friendly people. The exception being at certain times of the day motor scooters are buzzing through the narrow roads but this was not a problem for us.

Wherever you go to eat is incredible! The locals are helpful and friendly and the sunsets better than Santorini! On your first visit when you come over the mountain to drop down towards the resort the views were incredible will take your breath away. The resort is a chilled heaven. Perfect for couples.

Panormos is much quieter than Myrties and it has a big supermarket and a fuel station. But you need some sort of wheels to get to places as buses aren’t as frequent. We had a scooter and that worked for us well. As climbers we travelled everyday to different walls. Panormos offered the cheapest accommodation with facilities.

Super Value for money. If you travel with kids, go here. It's clean, the host is friendy and provides fresh fruit to the room after cleaning every day (fresh towels every day). Right next door to the best family beach in Kalymnos.

i ll write some comments for the whole island not only myrties. myrties is the main tourist spot on the island. lots of restaurants (we ate twice at la kambusa italian restaurant and the food was really good. try the pasta-excellent). there is a small harbor and within 3 minutes a boat can take you to island telendos (really cheap 3 euros going-2 coming back). we fell in love with emporeios village at the northern part of the island. quite beaches only you and ... goats from local farmers, nice restaurants (ate both at kyma & dreamcatcher). paid no more than 20euros per person. other beaches we enjoyed was platys gyalos semi organised but cheap for beverages-coffee. dont miss the daily trip to pserimos, fantastic beach plus every 3 hours or so tourist ships/pirate ships arrive with loads of tourists. for a while. then again .... peace. visit kalymnos you ll be amazed. explore greece beyond the obvious.

Small, friendly, has everything you need: lovely beach, wonderful views, great shops and restaurants. The people are very friendly and helpful. You can hire a boat, take a ferry to Telendos where you can go for a walk, watch a sunset and go for a great meal.

Panormos is a good place to stay when you visit Kalymnos island because of its location (close to the port, Kalymnos capital, museums, sightseeing and to beaches and restaurants on the other hand). The problem with all of the island is that there are nowhere sidewalks and streets are so narrow that if two cars meet one of them should back off , because there is not enough space for both of them (!!!!) and pedestrians are in a real danger .

Emporios is great if you like beautiful and quiet places. It is literally at the end of the road in Kalymnos so very little car or scooter traffic. Lots of restaurants to choose from, a mini mart, a small farm for fresh ingredients and a beautiful beach.
