I expected a nice hotel, and Akre Hotel greatly exceeded these expectations, which was wonderful! Mrs Eleni and her team, Mrs Despina, Elena, and Chrysa, are amazing hosts. Akre Hotel is a brand new hotel that is beautifully designed, has excellent facilities, and has its own private beach. The sea water where they are located is very clean and crystal clear, we loved it, and we really enjoyed the privacy there. It goes without saying that the view from the hotel is breathtaking. Another thing we enjoyed was the food, the breakfast is healthy and has a traditional touch, and there are delicious options for lunch and dinner. Some rooms have their own jacuzzi, an option I definitely recommend, because it was very relaxing to just stay there after spending the day at the beach. Location is always important, so not only is Akre Hotel situated nicely, but it is also close to Agios Prokopios Beach, with the restaurants that are next to it, and a petrol station. Last but not least, I really appreciate how Mrs Eleni and everyone at Akre Hotel were very friendly, very helpful, and very keen on us having an amazing time; this was one of the best places I ever stayed in!

Spacious and clean room with modern and tasteful decoration and all amenities included (access to jacuzzi was a pleasant surprise). Very well located, close to Agios Georgios beach and to the 'Cinema' bus stop providing easy access to other beaches. 5-10 minutes walking distance from the central part of Chora and very close to restaurants, bakeries, super markets and an open air summer cinema : ).     Customer service was an absolute highlight and helped us with everything we needed (rides to/from the ferry, car rentals, places to see and eat). Hell I'm sure if we asked for a unicorn they could find one for us. They were also always in a good mood and very attentive. It's right next to the beach with a ton of restaurants nearby and a bus stop right out front in case you want to hop into the city to do some shopping. The pool is also super nice and there's even a gym with free weights. Protip: Use the Plakcafe sunbeds (part of the same resort). You only need to pay for a drink (which c'mon you were gonna get anyways). We made the mistake of wondering around and had to pay for both the sun beds + drinks when they were free ones right on our doorstep.

    Lianos was amazing for us. Everything looks brand new and is kept incredibly clean. The pool is great, with a fantastic view to the sea as well. All the furniture is stylish and newl, the breakfast is delicious, and the staff are incredibly helpful and nice. We visited with a one and a half year old baby and they were so helpful and understanding with us and the baby. This is a business done right and frankly it's shocking that it's only qualified at 3 stars. Definitely worth more than that. And it's so much better maintained than other 4star hotels in the vicinity. We absolutely recommend it.

    The staff was really kind and helpful, especially Ms Alexandra. The room was amazing - it had a small kitchen, modern shower, air conditioning, comfortable beds and outdoor place. The interior design was done tastefully and it really helps to bring the experience of staying at Golden Sun Hotel to a whole new level. The location of the hotel is also amazing as you can choose which part of the island do you want to visit. During the night you can clearly see stars and the night sky. Also, you can use the shared swimmimg pool from the morning all the way to 22:30 pm.

    Great place to stay on Naxos. The hotel is located near the Prokopios beach. The hotel has a nice big pool. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The hotel has a great restaurant. We dined there three times. All dishes that we tried were delicious. The breakfast selection is great as well.

    Naxos Chora is a wonderful place to visit for a short while.

    Naxos Chora is a wonderful place to visit for a short while. The older/medieval part is a labirinth of alleys, well worth wandering around and discovering art galleries and shops hidden away. The front is full of taverners catering for all tastes, but it can get very busy. Alternatively you can walk away from the front to have a calmer meal in one of the excellent family taverners. St Georges beach is nearby, a nice sandy bay, with a long slope out into the sea. There is easy access to the ferry terminals, but a taxi will be required to get to and from the airport.

    I’d say 3 days is enough time here.

    I’d say 3 days is enough time here. We stayed where we were as it’s close to the beach and amenities, we didn’t travel elsewhere as it was 25 euro each way in a taxi to the port. We did want to get a quad bike but forgot a listener. Id recommend a few days here and also going to another island and a few days in Athens too. We went to Syros also which was less touristy in a great way.!

    I recommend hiring a quad bike to explore more beaches and the inland areas. This location is very good for if you have a quad bike as you can travel between the old town and the beaches along the coast on the other side, as well as inland. Quad hire is very reasonably priced and the company we used is very nearby. This is a lovely peaceful area. Groceries are a little expensive and there is a bigger supermarket than the one on the corner that has some more options. There are many lovely restaurants a very short walk from the accommodation, along the beach. A few have seating on the actual sand which is really special and romantic for couples.

    Stelida is a purpose built hilltop penninsula for accomodation and walking distance to a lovely beach if the north wind is not blowing. Only two restaurant options to walk to at night but it has easy access to hill towns and beaches to the south by car. It's out of the hectic vibes of Naxos Town and very quiet at night so a good night sleep is ensured!

    Mikri Vigla is a quiet town with a couple bakeries and restaurants. Beautiful sunsets and beaches, but you should have a car / moped to get around. The bus from Naxos Chora is infrequent and drops off at the beach, not the town proper.

    We liked the premises and quiet sandy beach. There is free parking on premise and some very good restaurants nearby. Make sure that when you get the sea view room, you ask for the direct and not the side views room.

    Vivlos is conveniently located about ten minutes from Naxos Town and roughly the same to local beaches. There are four or five local taverna's selling simple, good value, Greek food. The bakery is excellent and there is also a small supermarket and butchers. It's a good base from which to explore the island with walking trails marked out from there

    Near Moutsouna on the eastern coast of Naxos, a small house for two people nestled in the peaceful countryside. In the morning, the sounds of buzzards echo, and you can admire the flights of peregrine falcons in a deep blue sky. In the evening, the bells of goats and sheep create a bucolic atmosphere. Nearby, there are beautiful, secluded sandy beaches (Psili Amnos) and pebble beaches (Azalas). Matthew and Giannis are extremely kind and helpful hosts, welcoming their guests with genuine courtesy and delicious produce from their small garden. We spent 12 truly special days. About 12 km south of the house, from the beautiful beach of Panermos, you can daily embark for the splendid Koufonissi.

    A wonderful place with so much to see.

    A wonderful place with so much to see. A peaceful place full of history. Portara is beautiful both day and night, and even more so at sunset. With a few tours, you can reach Delos, a wonderful island full of history! Near the port of Naxos there are very nice restaurants and pubs for all tastes. The market streets with all the shops are also very suggestive. Tours of the island are also highly recommended.
