The swimming and access stairs were unbelievable. There were plenty of chairs to enjoy the outdoor area. The walk into town was short and easy. The front end staff were very friendly and accommodating for both early check out and bag hold for late check out. They bumped us up to a better view room for the first day, since it was open, which was not a requirement, but very gracious. I had to arrive at 4:30 am due to a ferry delay and had an exceptional treatment despite the time of the day. After checking in, they were kind enough to recommend which places to visit on which days based on how many days I was staying. They also gave tips on the buses and shared good restaurants. They allowed us to leave our suitcases and pick them up later so we could enjoy our day in the island after checking out. We also received complementary Paros souvenir bookmarks. Parikia is a great location.
Parikia is a great location. More authentic and less busy than Naoussa. Shopping and restaurant's were great and in my opinion much cheaper than Naoussa. We loved spending 6 nights in Paros. We rented a car. It was stick shift. A tad scary for me. But it was doable. Paros has great beach clubs. My daughters booked horse riding one day and then walked to the nearby town. After we met at a great beach club, we had lots of great dinners and sunsets. Fabulous shops. We drove to Leifros one day. We like Paros best. Taxis were outside the hotel. Also there was a transport office two doors up that arranged rides to beach club for us and picked us up. A beautiful location. 4 main restaurants by the marina plus a Japanese restaurant. We tried them all. and all were great. The couple of cafes there were great too for breakfast and lunch. Also for drinks. Remezzo even did Sangria which i couldn't find anywhere else! We walked down to cactus beach and had a sun lounger which was quite expensive 50 Euros. We had lunch at Cactus and that was great. Near cactus on the hill is a restaurant called Mango, please visit everything is freshly made even the ice cream. The town is really nice.
The town is really nice. It has a little of everything you would need for a getaway on a Greek island. The grocery store is nearby, public transit terminal is located here so access to the rest of the island is possible and easy. There are a number of little restaurants, cafes and shops you can look through and enjoy. I wish we had more time to spend and walk through the town but the time we spent was great. There is a small park by the bus stop if you have kids and want to entertain them for a bit. A small settlement and lovely, quiet sandy beach with a couple of excellent tavernas, with more a short walk away in the delightful little fishing village of Piso Livadi. A peaceful perfect place. Great beaches (3) all within a few minutes walk of the wonderful quaint fishing port that has several excellent restaurants and bars. This is a beautiful area, though quiet and with limited dining options. Great beach (Golden beach) with good service and reasonable prices. For a relaxed stay without lots of tourists, this is a good place. You will have to take a bus ride (1 hour) or drive from the main port in Paros to get to this less visited part of the island. This is a large complex of camping, small economy pods and concrete bungalows in pretty gardens. Very basic accommodation but adequate. There was a swimming pool and loungers that looked pleasant, although we didnt stay long enough to use it. It was great value for money for a short stay or for families who dont mind being outside of the main towns in Paros.
