- From $23.61 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 805 reviewsGreat place to spend few days in the middle of nature. Wifi worked well in the restaurant area, where you can also chill and enjoy cold drinks and the delicious food they serve. They have good food options (also for vegans). The staff is really friendly. Overall it was a very unique experience. It was easy to get there - if you arrive by bus from Flores like I did, you get off at the bus terminal and walk a bit back, then you turn right (towards the water) between El commercial Almendro and small bakery (the Sun dog cafe is right at the end of the road, you ask them to call Casa Perico at the bar).Guest review byBarboraCzech Republic
- From $140.22 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.2Good - What previous guests thought, 165 reviewsWe booked this hotel as we were driving to our destination. I called and asked if they would let us check in at midnight and they were happy to have us. When we arrived, they greeted us, showed us to our room, and said we could deal with the paperwork in the morning. When we woke up in the morning, I was astounded by their beautiful location, tranquility around the river, and excellent restaurant. The paperwork was fast and we had a delicious meal before continuing on our journey.I wish we had more time to enjoy their pool and riverfront views.Guest review byRaquelUnited States
- From $41.10 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 501 reviewsGreat location at the lake with nice views from the rooms and balconies. Great breakfast and dinner, with large choice of both local dishes and popular dishes such as their pizzas. Staff was super friendly and helped us a lot when we forgot a phone on the boat. Unfortunately we only stayed one night, we regret as there are enough activities to do and the hotel is a great place to hangout!Guest review byLucBelgium
- From $98.74 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 258 reviewsIt was centrally located near harbor restaurants. We felt safe there. They had English speaking staff at the front desk and they arranged an English speaking taxi for us that arrived promptly at 6:00 a.m. The room was clean and had plenty of hot water. The building felt very safe.Guest review bySallyUnited States

Rio Dulce is a great spot to vacation, it's very relaxing.
Rio Dulce is a great spot to vacation, it's very relaxing. If you want more night life...then probably best to stay in Livingston. If you are ever in Livingston, the best Tapado was at a small restaurant Restaurante Gabby!! Unforgettable!! El Viajero didn't come close in flavor, maybe we just went on a bad day. Must see Siete Altares, beautiful waterfalls and blue turquoise water. We never felt unsafe, it's a very tranquil place in Rio Dulce.Guest review byNoemiUnited States - 10.0
Loved Livibgston.
Loved Livibgston. It has a very chilled and relaxed vibe that's very different to the rest of Guatemala. The locals are so warm and welcoming. We ate at local restaurants and sometimes local drummers came in and played which was great.very easy to get around. If you don't want to walk there's always a tuk tuk near by for only 50Q a person. The area is great for walking along the coast, kayaking, and enjoying different cultures.Guest review bysgibbyUnited Kingdom - 4.0

If you travel solo you can't do anything as it's just for groups else yours are in excess of £250! It's not safe to hike to seven altars alone (I was told by locals) so it's just very far for no reason. The bus from GC was supposed to be 5 hours but it was 11!Guest review byAndreaUnited Kingdom - 6.0
It should be a tourist hot spot in Guatemala.
It should be a tourist hot spot in Guatemala. Unfortunately the beaches are covered in trash. I wouldn’t recommend a visit to Livingston unless you’re passing through. If you happen to have some time in Livingston I recommend a trip to Playa Blanca and Siete Altares. The lancha to Playa Blanca only gives you an hour in Siete Altares so we went back the next day. Just take a tuktuk to the bridge and walk. It’s a great place to swim in cool fresh water in the jungle.Guest review byJohnUnited States - 10.0

Unfortunately, I was there during the rainy season - day and night - rain. I would have stayed longer, but everything I had was damp or wet. Hostel is easily walkable from the lancha dock. Or you can take a tuc tuc for 10QGuest review byrosemaryCyprus
