We stayed there 2 nights, could have done 3 or 4 to be less rushed. Overall its a great (but busy) little town. Lots to do and see there, we loved our visit. The palace is under much repair so it just wasnt the best timing for us.Guest review byRichardPanama - 8.0
It's an expensive city.
It's an expensive city. There's no information to get around with Google Maps, so most of the time you have to see information at the bus stop on how you will be going. Take an activity kayaking tour; it's my highlight, or visit Lokrum Island if you are bored with the Old Town.Guest review byAgusSpain - 10.0

Beautiful old town, I ate in 4 different restaurants and it was all delicious. Definitely go and sit for an hour at sunset at the sea organ, it's an experience I will always remember. There is a mini beach right beside the park which is worth going to if you enjoy swimming. All the people are very friendly!Guest review byPhoebe - 10.0

A small, charming town filled with tourists, restaurants, and shops. I’d recommend spending a day and a half to truly take in the atmosphere and history. Consider hiring a guide or using a quality audio tour for a brief but informative overview.Guest review byAlexandraUnited States - 6.0
Makarska is nice place to visit in June and September.
Makarska is nice place to visit in June and September. July and August is very hot and a lot off tourists on the beach, and on the streets. A lot of traffic, problem to find parking place. We only walk and stay overnight in Makarska center. Biokovo skywalk is fantasticGuest review bySlobodankaNorway - 10.0

Hvar is beautiful and has enough to be relaxing, or to have fun and excursions if you want them. The recent sound curfew means it is a great place for those not so keen on being kept up by those partying, but there is a lively atmosphere in Hvar Town. The beaches are all pebbly and public, so open to all. Beach shoes are a must, but there are ample sun loungers to rent and the water is crystal clear. There are loads of restaurants and cafes, and no hassling by them trying to get you in, which was refreshing. There is lots to do, the fort is worth the walk, and there are numerous boat trips to the other beautiful islands, there are water sports and an inflatable aqua park too.Guest review byJoUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Šibenik is not just a holiday resort – it has a lot to offer...
Šibenik is not just a holiday resort – it has a lot to offer. It is a city full of spirit. There seemed to be an ongoing music festival, as there was live music every day. The old town is breathtaking: lively, narrow, white-paved streets, ancient houses with bare stone walls, the air filled with the scent of the sea, a busy port, and tourists who are warmly welcomed. There is a city beach, but I recommend leaving Šibenik for swimming – for example, to one of the nearby islands or to smaller beaches outside the inlet. The city is also a great starting point for visiting Krka National Park – we agreed it is the most beautiful place we have ever seen.Guest review byLadislav SedlákCzech Republic - 6.0
Vodice is a very crowded place.
Vodice is a very crowded place. The beach is long but not very wide, so there were many people, and sometimes you couldn’t even find a spot to put your towel. The city center is also not as beautiful as other Croatian cities, such as Poreč, Pula, Omiš, or Zadar. It doesn’t offer much to explore, but there are some nice places to see nearby, such as the islands of Prvić and Murter. We also liked the beach in Rovinj, which has many more facilities. On the beach in Vodice, there is also a nightclub that gets really loud, so it’s not the best option for a holiday with small children.Guest review byNatáliaSlovakia - 10.0
For me, this is simply the best place in Croatia.
For me, this is simply the best place in Croatia. It's smaller than, for example, Makarska, and lacks noisy clubs and loud nightlife, which I consider strong advantages. You can find everything you need: beautiful beaches, bars, snack stands, and upscale restaurants. Renting a sunbed or umbrella is easy, and exciting water sports equipment, such as water jets, is also available. Highly recommended.Guest review byKrzysztofPoland - 10.0

It’s a very classy small town with stunning bays, impressive private boats visiting, plenty of water-sport activities and countless little boats taking people to islands and to/from Dubrovnik. Also plenty of restaurant and bar options. Water was a lovely temperature to swim in (Sept). It is so close to the airport, which is very convenient. We weren’t planning to hire a car but ended up doing so because it was necessary to get to a decent/large supermarket (Lidl). We found the small supermarkets in Cavtat were unsuitable if you’re self-catering (limited choice and pricey). The car meant we could explore more too. We would highly recommend a trip to Molunat. It was stunning, quiet, and take your swimming stuff. Also, Mlini and Sebreno were also beautiful.Guest review byKennyUnited Kingdom
