- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,841 reviewsIt's nice and cozy.. a straw-hut camp with no electricity (other than a few small wall lamps and usb ports that take like 8 hours to charge a phone) underneath big pine trees, lots of plants.. almost like staying at a botanical garden. Did not have problems any with mosquitoes and could sleep all night without worrying.. And although every bed has a mosquito net, I imagine if they're active, the stay gets les enjoyable :) The food was great. I imagine in peak season the lines at getting the food get annoyingly long.. but it wasn't all that crowded and the lines were manageable :) The beach is also awesome - lots of shade and sun, depending what you like. There is a crowded sandy part ideal for playing with the kids.. And rocky parts all around where you can enjoy with less people around.. Also, a lot of activities and things to do (sports.. or take a kayak or a sup.. or learn sailing or wind surfing).. and a lot of activities interesting to kids (like mini disco and other entertainment programs). We had luck and great weather each day.. i don't know how cozy it would feel on stormy nights.. or days :)Guest review byZoranCroatia

Beautiful old town, I ate in 4 different restaurants and it was all delicious. Definitely go and sit for an hour at sunset at the sea organ, it's an experience I will always remember. There is a mini beach right beside the park which is worth going to if you enjoy swimming. All the people are very friendly!Guest review byPhoebe - 10.0

Novalja peaks during summer for the festival season, with Zrce Beach nearby. However, it's a cute small town with its own little charm, I would definitely come at a less busy time (that being said, even during festival season it didn't feel crowded at all), and do some driving to nearby spots on the island. Driving is definitely preferred in Croatia in general (just be aware of limited parking and teeny two way streets), but you can arrive by bus to Novalja too.Guest review byMayaAustralia - 8.0
This city is ideal for families with children.
This city is ideal for families with children. Nice beaches - small pebbles, gradual access to the sea, azure sea, promenades around the sea, funny park for children. The disadvantage is that there are no historical monuments here. It gives the impression of being more of a tourist city without history. Therefore, it is advisable to visit other cities in the area - for example, Zadar, Šibenik.Guest review byLucieCzech Republic - 8.0

Vir is quite tourist-centric, which has its advantages and, unfortunately, its disadvantages. The island itself is beautiful, I like the hustle and bustle (although we were in Lozice, a little further north, in a quieter part) and there are quite a few restaurants to choose from. However, the shops in the area are like the domestic (Hungarian) department stores at Christmas, no matter what time of year we went shopping: full, the lines barricaded, a minimum of 10-15 minutes waiting at the cashiers. The beaches are nice, the ones we went to were clean, although unfortunately I saw quite a few people littering... There is also the possibility of a short excursion around the red rocks on the far side of the island, the view from there is amazing. The locals were nice, but the car traffic is quite chaotic - narrow streets, everyone is in a hurry, not many people know the stop sign, etc.Guest review byPéter - 10.0

The owner was very kind and accommodating. The location was a peaceful and convenient place to stay. We ate at the public beach area which we walked to in under 10 minutes. We walked around the marina after dinner and that was a lovely family walk. Would recommend to others.Guest review byTheresaUnited States - 10.0

Small costal town for a good rest, food and just enjoying some peace and quiet. Has two amazing beaches with sandy bottoms. Galija&Olivietum are places to visit. The church is main attraction. Also Vransko lake is close by so be sure to visit and have some birdeatching.Guest review byMiroslav - 10.0
We went on a sightseeing trip around Zadar.
We went on a sightseeing trip around Zadar. The next day, we sailed by boat from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and explored the islands outside Zadar. We drove out to Krk Island and visited four wonderful places there. We ended by driving to Krka National Park. All of these were beautiful places with magnificent nature. We had a rental car, and I highly recommend it—otherwise, the stay wouldn't have been as excellent.Guest review byJon Axel AntonssonIceland - 8.0

Sukosan is a a good place for a quiet break. The beach isn't crowded and there is a lovely atmosphere both in the daytime and evenings. We would recommend the Hotel Belvedere and Konoba Piazzetta for evening meals.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Great vibe in the area. Good local restaurants. Used Pizza Peperoni which was great, Mad Suck and Konoba Kampanel. All took card payment. Restaurant Tomislav only accepted cash - with 140€ bill I would have liked to be made aware in advance Bakery staff super welcoming. Would have been good to know in advance about a public holiday the day after arrivalGuest review byStef - 10.0

A small city with a lot to do. Not too crowded, with a living night life. This is a city that is not well known yet and it is evolving tourist wise. Best thing for price/quality. Parking are cheap or free, restaurants are not too expensive...Guest review byLeonard
