It’s off the beaten path so you have to be intentional about choosing a stay here. We were in the area for the Easter celebration in nearby Hokollö and chose to drive 30 minutes to this spot for the night. Thrilled to arrive and receive an upgrade to a suite for the stay. I stayed in the room on the ground floor (with standard ceiling and without roof windows) and it was comfortable. The room, the shared bathroom and also the kitchen were clean. Such a beautiful town! Words cannot describe, it’s a place you just have to visit to experience its beauty. The serenity, the landscape is beyond stunning. I got lost in looking at all the beautiful trees and listening to all the birds. The people are all so friendly. I loved every second I spent here. The food is another level. It’s hard to choose which bakery and cake shop to eat from as there are so many. All of which are fresh and tasty. There are so many restaurants and smaller food /take away shops to choose from also. Szécsény is a historic place. This was my third trip there. The hotel personnel went out of their ways to help us, including guiding us to the hotel by car.
