My friend recommended this place for me. I had a lovely time staying here! The place is super clean, well-equipped, and has a really calm, countryside vibes. The garden is beautiful, and it was so nice to sit outside with a coffee in the morning. Even though we didn’t speak the same language, Erika was using a translator to tell me everything I needed to know. She was incredibly kind and welcoming, and you could tell she genuinely cares about her guests. Everything was easy and comfortable from start to finish. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a quiet weekend close to nature with a personal touch. Hope to come back sooon :))) Thanks again!

    I was a bit skeptic based on the photos, but when we got there, the place exceeded our expectations. Perfect location, village center is a short 15 minute walk through lovely pastures. One of the popular local tourist paths crosses right through the property. Our host was very friendly and accommodated all our requests. The place is an attraction itself, especially for the kids who adored petting the donkey and running after chicken. Plenty of space to kick a ball around, chill in the swings or have a good old BBQ.

    Breakfast was exceptional! Prepared daily for all guests, a mix of local items and the homemade apple juice was delicious. Guest house was quiet and centrally located for our daily excursions. The staff took the time to speak with us, which made the experience very nice. Be sure to enjoy a meal at the delicious restaurant and take in the views from the patio.

    This might be the most interesting looking house I’ve ever stayed in! I really loved the decor in the interior and what they’ve done with the outside. The room was clean, charming, beautiful, breakfast was wonderful and it was easy to walk into town.

    Magyarszombatfa is a small, quiet place with rural surroundings very close to the Slovenian border and about 40 kilometres from the Croatian border. Ideal for walking and cycling (take account of the slopes). Cycling and walking routes are signposted in the neighbouring town of Bajánsenye, however in Slovenia we did not find the cycle numbers (route 1). Shops and restaurants are very limited in Magyarszombatfa; you can find more shops and restaurants in Bajánsenye.

    The separate kitchen was very well equiped. The bathroom and the bedroom was well equiped. All was very clean. The hosts tried to make this small place cosy and nice, so we can recommend it for a night or two during the summer.
