I stayed in the upstairs budget room, and I loved it - feels like you're in a treehouse, the room is overlooking the lush greenery, and I loved the stairs leading to it. I wish I lived in a house like that! The bathroom is an outdoor one, which for me is a big plus, and the shower was excellent, hot with good water pressure. The place was very clean! The optional breakfast is so yummy, and the wifi was perfect for remote work, very fast. The new Icon Bali Shopping Mall is wonderful and opens out at one end onto the Beach. Lovely restaurants and Cafes and also Some High End shops for the Rich Tourists!! However, the road and pedestrian Footpaths out front on the main road ( Jalan Danau Tamblingan) are appalling. Great city to explore... wish we would have had more time to look around. Everyone we met or talked to were very friendly and kind. Highly recommend. I love Sanur this is my 3rd time staying in Sanur its quieter than Kuta & Seminyak however there is still plenty to do. Denpasar is often overlooked and yet has so much to offer. There is history, culture, good food and places with open space, great views and room to walk if you know where to look. It's also a great base from which you can visit other areas and enjoy unique experiences with little travel time. It was easy to get around but little to do nearby. A great turtle conservation centre that will keep most people occupied for up to an hour. Absolutely loved Denpasar, you felt that you were amongst the local of Bali and it was nice to see this part of Bali.
