Clean, brand new rooms, most comfortable bed, large balcony overlooking a bamboo forest with the sounds of a rushing stream below. And even better, I cannot say enough good things about the owner!! Made us dinner even though the kitchen was closed after arriving late in the night, arranged an amazing and well priced Ljen tour for us, lent me Indonesian dollars when I had none left AND even drove me to the airport in his personal car when I was so late I would have missed my flight! He makes you feel like you’re at home. Stay here you won’t regret it!!

We had an amazing 3 night stay at the Aston Anyer. Good spread of Breakfast. Have to mention that the service at the hotel is remarkable. They staff were extremely courteous and super helpful. Big thank you to Kana and the front desk team. We will be visiting again for sure.

- I got a deluxe room with balcony facing garden and pool, the view overlooking the valley is breathtaking.
- Many option on breakfast menu and they taste good

Had only had a chance to stay in Jakarta. The Pondok mall is very nice. Traffic is so horrible there. Takes forever to get from one place to another. Didn't get a chance to go anywhere because of the traffic issue.

Mount Merapi (you can take a jeep to the summit, but I didn't), Borobudur, and Prambanan Temple are worth a visit, although the entrance fee is quite high for Asia.
Maliobor Street is a must-see. Kotagede with its narrow streets, as well as the water castle and the Sultan's Palace, should be on your to-do list.
Tebing Breksi might be nice in the dark, but otherwise skip it.
I skipped the sights that required a drive of over 1.5 hours (Hutan Pinus Pengger, Jomblang Cave, Timang Beach, Watu Giring). The roads in Indonesia aren't that good.
The Central Air Force Museum Dirgantara Mandala required an invitation, which, of course, I didn't have. Strange.

My last visit to Surabaya was about 10 years ago. The city had transformed to be nicer and cleaner. Shopping malls were excellent now, cleaner. Keep it up. Surprisingly bluebird taxis were still available, but driver's honesty was questionable at times (meter rates).

The airport at Jakarta (like the other airports in Indonesia) has very limited choices for food. It seems they think all travelers want coffee and pastries. We did eat at a sit down restaurant with super oily food that was way below average and high priced (for Indonesia).

Everything is perfect but only one thing that I have really uncomfortable.
That is internet connection !!!!! I can not fully watch YouTube or Netflix bt my laptop. Wifi signal continously has drorpped so it is very difficult to watch any streaming.
Even I have to access to my company web for working.
Something is happened. I can not work because very low level of internet connection and internet speed.
I didn't have any internet issue when I was in Jakarta and Borgor during similar times (I was in jakarta and borgor one week ago)
If you have to do something with internet, I can not recommend this hotel. It is very very terribles

Authentic introduction to a broad Javanese experience from traditional markets to modern shopping malls. Ancient palaces , streets packed with carts and traders , a look into the past. Very safe with smiles and welcomes everywhere . Truly lovely people , helpful and kind, anyone we came into contact with, staff, shop keepers, drivers - whatever - were overwhelmingly polite and caring with manners and curtesy . Plenty to see in the area. A day trip to Prambanan a pleasant 90 minutes through interesting landscape.

Malang was definitely an amazing experience. we walked downtown and visited the heritage village, what an amazing place!! we also went to this beautiful restaurant called ( SaigonSan ) which looks like a temple form the inside . the food is really good and unexpectedly affordable.
and of course would recommend the Bromo, Ejin and Tumpak sewu tours . otally worth it especially the waterfalls

The staff at the hotel are very friendly and extremely helpful. When I called to say that I forgot to bring my contact lens at around 9 pm local time there, the staff managed to order one bottle for me online, have it delivered to the hotel and brought it up to my room personally. Kudos to him!!
