Amazing place, super attentive staff, spotless hotel. Incredible view. We chose this hotel for remote work and it was the best choice. We were able to work in toom, next by the pool in the restaurant and wifi were great.

Amazing experience to have a whole private island for ourselves! The space is so unique and beautiful so me and my girlfriend extended our stay. The staff was very helpful and a great breakfast. Don't miss to swim in the natural pool in the river. This hotel is new but it will become very popular soon we are sure. 10 out of 10!!

We had a wonderful stay here at Papahan Bali. Very nice staff, the rooms are very clean. The place was so peaceful and quiet, lots of mountain views. There are also lots of restaurants, spa around the area. The staffs are well mannered and always smiling. We will definitely go back! ❤️

The hotel sits right on the beach, in a small village without many commercial activities. But we found exactly what we are looking for - a place to chill and relax, after 10 days in other, busier parts of Bali. The hotel ground is so well maintained, the lobby and restaurant is beautiful, and the rooms are decorated with lovely Balinese crafts. A lot of thoughts and efforts went into keeping this place so perfect! The hotel restaurant also has delicious food and drinks. The hotel has two pools, and offers free snorkeling tools, kayak and paddle boarding. Bring your own snorkeling gears (they have a limited selection of sizes) if you want a super snorkel session right off the ocean in front - corals and fish, great visibility. The manager Catherine and all the staff were super friendly, kind and attentive. Thank you so much! I couldn’t recommend more this hotel to families and couples who want a beautiful, relaxing beach holiday in Bali!

The staff were extremely helpful and always on hand to give service and answer any questions. The villas were spacious, clean and comfortable. The gardens, pool and restaurant were stunning, with a great view of Mt Agung. The food was excellent (with superb breakfast) and the spa treatments were wonderful. We were blown away by the service and luxury of the hotel, can't wait to go back.

Barefoot Glamping is a brand-new place run by a wonderful Dutch host and a kind local team, with service that goes truly above and beyond. The tents are much more comfortable than expected for glamping, the pool is excellent, and the beach right in front is swimmable – a rare gem in Bali. The restaurant is simple but absolutely delicious, one of the best we tried on the island. We stopped here for one night on our way from Amed to Pemuteran so the drive wouldn’t be too long with our 1.5-year-old daughter, and for us that was just the right amount of time. Peaceful, connected to nature, and family-friendly – we loved our stay.

    Katut the property manager met us upon arrival to give an overview of the property and hand over the room keys. Each villa had a lock and key associated with it. Each villa had an open air bathroom and shower which was beautiful and an A/C unit inside. Free kayaks were available to use which we paddled over to another bay for some amazing snorkeling. There is also decent snorkeling right off the beach in front of the property. Breakfast was served every morning with fresh fruit, eggs, toast and pancakes. Katut was able to arrange poolside messages which was a wonderful experience. We had our own private pool and loungers. This is a beautiful and unique property, especially if you're looking for some deep relaxation and romantic spot with some isolation. We ate at the Galang restaurant across the street which was good and got food delivered most other nights.

    Lipah Beach is such a great quiet town. The atmosphere at Hidden Paradise is just as laid back and welcoming as the town. Their restaurant on the beach always has a delightful breeze blowing. In addition to the dining area there are couches and a relaxing area too just to enjoy drinks, read a book, or talk with guests. Haven't even talked about the snorkeling yet which is just directly out in the surf behind HP. Plus, they have a shady spot on the beach thanks to a large tree. The food is excellent too. Many choices and covers a wide variety of tastes and cuisines.

    The place is very nice - beautiful bungalows surrounded by trees, with direct access to the beach. The room was very nice, the. The bathroom/shower was a highlight - very spacious. The terrace is very nice to have breakfast on/chill with the view on the sea. They also have tables /sunbeds by the beach. The coral reef is amazing, we've seen a lot of turtles, plenty of fish, even a few sea snakes and one reef shark in just 2 days. The owners and stuff are all very friendly and kind. Loved our stay, thanks a lot. Liliia&Ahmed.

    Our time in Sideman has been an absolute highlight of our Bali trip. The team at Patal Kikian is incredibly friendly and goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. We loved the scooter tour with our guide, Satria—exploring Sideman and meeting the locals was such a unique and enriching experience. I can’t recommend this place enough! Be sure to try the scooter tour and indulge in the Balinese massage at the spa. A perfect combination for relaxation and adventure!

    An excellent, serene resort with various villas in a large, exquisite garden, overlooking a valley. The rooms were very good with a covered, spacious, outside bathroom, in which, to our surprise, they had prepared a welcoming floral bath for us. The staff was very kind and supportive. A shuttle was available to take us further up the area. Various complimentary and optional activities were available. Sidemen is beautiful, we had lovely encounters with the local people.

    Aquaterrace is well situated at simply the best beach in Amed, Selang Beach. Been coming back here often since 2017. The owner and staff are all attentive and friendly. They ensure that all requests are met with high standard. Plus, it's always nice to waking up, sleeping, and snoozing accompanied by the sound of the sea and having breakfast while watching the boats get busy in the morning loading passengers or unloading the catch of the day.

    Amed is nice but if you don’t have a scooter or your own...

    Amed is nice but if you don’t have a scooter or your own transport, expect to pay high prices for transport compared to other parts of Bali. Also people there seem a bit sad and not as friendly and happy as other parts of Bali. The beach is nice and the place is very quiet and not overcrowded, which is great but if you are looking for that lovely Balinese culture and hospitality, you might struggle to find it here.

    Sidemen is a beautiful village, quiet and reminds you of how you imagine Bali used to be like. Having said that, it has some top eating places. Rice fields all around, silver classes, cooking classes, place to relax and unwind. Highly recommend.

    Contrary to some reviews of Padangbai being a dodgy back water town, we found it to be a hidden gem. Lovely beaches and good places to swim and snorkel. Much smaller than I anticipated and far less humbug and mass tourism than other parts of Bali. Would definitely recommend staying here a couple of days, especially if catching an onward boat to other islands in Indonesia.

    I have been travelling around Bali for some time and I have come to a conclusion. Bali is about Earth Energy and there are 4 elements in which it excels. Central Bali, Ubud and heading North for Jungle Energy....intense and slightly chaotic. The Peninsula for expansive Ocean Energy, connecting you to something bigger, and Rock Energy...grounding, stabilising. Then you have Candidasa. Candidasa is the Energy of the Hills, the Green Healing Hills. Take your bike off the main road and you will be driving closer and closer to the foot, then keep driving, up and up, for absolutely breath taking views of dense greenery with traditional structures scattered in the distance. Breathtaking.

The water is calm, visibility is great, and marine life is rich, from colourful coral to bumphead parrotfish. The famous USAT Liberty wreck is a must-see, accessible right from shore. It’s also a great place to learn diving – many friendly, professional instructors and dive centres around. Whether you're a beginner or ean xperienced diver, you'll love it here. Highly recommended for ocean lovers!

    An off beat location, which is actually peaceful and great...

    An off beat location, which is actually peaceful and great for nature lovers, adventure seekers and history lovers. It is close to the mother temple of Bali (15 minutes), Blue lagoon diving and Snorkeling, p Pura Tirta and the most amazing rafting site. So a 3-night stay at this place is ideal to cover east Bali and then you can go to Ubud.

    We stayed just one night to visit the Gates of Heaven.

    We stayed just one night to visit the Gates of Heaven. I feel is enough to see the surroundings and have a feel of the place. We found the tickets a bit expensive. I mean is a nice place but not to pay 10$. You can see Tirtagangga in 20 minutes, depending on whether you are an instagramer and you take selfies in every corner, then you can stay there for over an hour, although is very difficult to take good selfies as there are people everywhere. Around the entrance, there are a few restaurants and shops. But please I would say to the owners or whoever takes care of this place, tell people not to feed the fish. They are huge! and it's because the shops nearby sell food so you can take a picture with the fish.

    It's a surfers paradise but not for us old couples. The place will be very nice if the owner take time to make it clean like clean sheets, new mattress with on bed bugs. The bathroom and toilets spruced up. Nothing much to see there except to surf and relax.

    I went to Amed to learn Free Diving.

    I went to Amed to learn Free Diving. Its 3 hour from Bali airport by car. a nice small village. Many good restaurants and Massage Places and Yoga Places. No Shopping just enjoy the beach. Can rent a scooter or use taxi to get around Amed. The beach has coral and fishes and turtles. The water is dark blue and the sand is nearly black .
