Carrick is a very cute sleepy Irish town and this stay just highlighted that in the best way. Situated right next to a stream with a beautiful courtyard that I'm sure is so nice to spend time in during warmer months/days. It was a bit dreary the duration of our stay at this bnb. The breakfast in the morning was delightful and in one of the bottom rooms of the building with the big windows and view of the river. The rooms were clean, sheets were spotless and served us well. We went to Slieve League Cliffs the next day and the sun came out for us and it was delightful!

The room had a sea view which was beautiful to wake up too. The room was clean and comfortable. My partner and I stayed an extra night in the same room, we got a fantastic deal. The music was great and we met and chatted to loads of people. The restaurant was lovely, nothing was too much trouble as we wanted to change seats. Above all we will definitely be back. Donegal is a beautiful county and the people go to great effort to ensure that visitors have a good experience. Unfortunately the inclement weather and constant mist cannot be controlled. This of course might be the attraction for some visitors. Good food available in bars throughout the county.

Bundoran ,being a seaside and holiday destination thrives during the summer. You could meet anyone from anywhere here. But most importantly all are made to feel so welcome by the general community not just the hoteliers and gift shop owners. I accidentally left my rear passenger door actually open all night outside the Bank House and not a thing was touched!!! This coming from someone who has been a victim of a locked car theft in my own driveway in Loughlinstown Co Dublin….

The spa was the best. Booking treatments before hand is needed but the facial was amazing as were the massages. The food was lovely in the hotel restaurant, we were not disappointed. When wanting to try something new we walked 5min to Nancys Barn for even more gorgeous food. Beach was in walking distance with a lovely view and nice walking path.

Dunfanaghy is a beautiful part of Co Donegal with lots to do. The village itself has lots of bars, cafes and restaurants. We loved our walk through Lurgabrack nature reserve to Tramore Beach, one of the best beaches we have ever been too! Hornhead is a fabulous scenic drive and a trip to Marble Hill beach and Ards forest park are also worth a visit.
