Amazing location well worth the money spent. The place was absolutely incredible. Upon our arrival we were upgraded to a better room for free. Out of the 9 nights we stayed in Iceland in different hotels ION Adventure Hotel was the one we saw the northern lights in. The hotel offers wake up call service if the lights appear at any time during the night which is awesome (saves you time and fuel driving around all night looking to see them). Highly recommend this place even if you do not see the lights it’s a hidden Gem especially the Infiniti pool/spa.

Everything was very clean and the rooms were spacious. I have stayed here in the past for work and decided to bring my dad here while he was visiting. Our room had a balcony overlooking the river and it was nice to sit outside while enjoying an ice cream from the ice cream shop located on the other side of the hotel. We also enjoyed an evening at the hotel spa and highly recommend visiting it when staying at the hotel. There is a restaurant in the hotel and a food court across the street. We would stay here again.

The town of "flowers" is a good name for this place, as it is the warmest place in Iceland, where they grow flowers and enjoy life.
It has the best swimming pool of the whole country, with an amazing "steam room" that is heated with steam straight from the vulcanic core of our planet.

Centre of Fludir has grocery store, a gas station and 2 hotels - all four located very closely across the street. So we could get full tank of gadoline to drive further and wr had really good breakfast in hotel, but for the evening got some food in the shop. We didn't spend much time there and sayed only for one night driving through from one destination point to anothes as we dind't find any interesting object to visit in this town.

What I liked most was the location and the cottage itself. It was in fantastic conditions and modern styled which made it feel very luxury.
We ate at the restaurant which has the same owner as the cottages, and though it was a great selection of food - it was not the best for me who's gluten intolerant. However, they were super helpful and made sure I got something as well.

Do your food shopping before you arrive as there are no local shops. Selfoss is a good place to stock up.
Make sure you stop into Skalholt- good views, nice archeological sites and a good bistro.
