- From $316.66 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 407 reviewsI don’t know where to even start, just WOW! Since the moment I arrived, the owner Gudrun received me with open arms and gave me a map right away with places to visit around Snaefellsnes! She was very sweet and caring! The cabin was absolutely wonderful, equipped with everything you need to have a pleasant stay. The dinner both night was absolutely INCREDIBLE! The lamb and the pasta were SOOOOO GOOD! Worth it every penny! The breakfast was also wonderful. Gudrun really cares about her visitors, and you can truly tell by the way she helps and is always available, plus she’s a wonderful cook! As a solo traveler, it truly made me feel like home, which honestly, was the best! I’ve been in Iceland for 2 weeks now and have stayed at 10 different places, this one has been BY FAR! The best! What a wonderful stay!Guest review byAngelUnited States
- From $205.24 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,165 reviewsLovely farm guesthouse! Cute rooms, well enough for a night stay, hot water in the shower does NOT smell of sulfur (contrary to many other hotels). The breakfast buffet was undisputedly the BEST that we had in Iceland (and we stayed in a couple of luxurious places too). The farm animals are cute and everything creates such an inviting and wholesome atmosphere. :)Guest review byPetarBulgaria
- From $205.24 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,476 reviewsThe restaurant served up some delicious duck confit & chicken leg. It was one of my favourite meals. It was also located right on a pretty private beach that was an excellent spot to view auroras. I appreciated that the room had a good selection of teas & coffee. The owners are not very particular where you're parked so parking spaces were ample.Guest review byMin MinSingapore

We only spent 1 night and 1 lunchtime in Borgarnes, so my experience was limited. We would have loved to stay longer and explore more! The walk along the seaside is beautiful and a great way to get around. The pool with its hot tubs is excellent - just go here and skip the pricey spas! The town feels so safe and there are some lovely bakeries and cafes. The Settlement Museum is well worth a visit!Guest review byAlexisUnited States - 8.0
The parking by the fall is expensive at no reason.
The parking by the fall is expensive at no reason. It offers no services, like toilets. If the weather is ok and you like walking, there is a free spot closer to the city, 1mile or 1500m, with a trail to the fall. The fall and the mountain together in a pic are the postcard you imagined.Guest review byPietroItaly - 10.0

The hike to the island is very nice, we did it at 11pm after our dinner. You have to visit the church. We loved this village and his traditional houses. We eat very well at Sjávarpakkhúsið restaurant.Guest review byEtienneSwitzerland - 10.0

The annual music festival was great as ever with fine program and performing artists. The new church has outstanding acoustics and do not forget do have a glance at the old church from 1887 and the Snorri Sturluson bath originated from 13th century.Guest review byMagnúsIceland - 10.0

I would like to address several reviewers comments in general about the size of the bathrooms and showers. The bathrooms have been updated. the bathrooms are on the smaller side but so are most of the bathrooms in all the hotels I have stayed at in Iceland. We travel extensively and notice differences in all of the countries we have been to that are different from our own places and each place that you go. I think it is ok to mention this so other people are aware but to complain so much about it is not necessary. I would also like to mention how wonderful their water is! It can go from freezing cold to sauna hot in a matter of seconds and it is the only country that I prefer to dink from the tap! I hope this helps :)Guest review byMelissa - 10.0

Hellnar is the perfect location, close to all the major attractions on the peninsula and an ideal place to spend the night while soaking in the beauty of the landscape. There’s a charming little café just a few minutes from the Peninsula Suites that serves the best waffles with jam and whipped cream, an Icelandic classic. The views are truly out of this world, we’ve never seen anything like it. Cliffs, ocean, glacier, and moss all come together in the most breathtaking way. It’s an absolute must on your trip!Guest review byDorota KotniewiczPoland
