- From $122.88 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 253 reviewsThis hotel did not disappoint from the time we arrived, until it's sad departure. Ben, who spoke many different languages, greeted us and started us off with an espresso while taking us up to this amazing hilltop view overlooking the ocean and the wonderful city of Lipari. His introduction of the hotel was well planned, noting the countless ammendities and services offered by the hotel. If you need to rent a scooter, car, boat excursion, or make dinner reservations(with free shuttle), they do it all right at the resort. Ben went the extra mile to surprise my wife with a large bouquet of Lillies for the room to help celebrate our wedding anniversary. Breakfast was served on a terrace overlooking the city with amazing food and staff to attend to your needs. If you just want to relax, there is an infinity pool at the top of the resort with breathtaking views and outstanding food and drink service. The walk into town is about 10 minutes or a taxi can quickly be arranged by the hotel if needed . The port is close and allows for spontaneous ferries for island hopping, but we found Lipari to be our favorite. We closed our trip at the restaurant Al Panorama, overlooking the island of Vulcano at sunset. The view from here can not be beaten, and the hotel provided a free shuttle here as well. All of the staff at the resort were very helpful and courteous, making lasting memories for 2 Americans on their first trip to Europe. Dont miss out on this hidden gem.Guest review byMatthewUnited States
- From $205.23 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 356 reviewsThe hotel was perfectly situated - close to the port for ferries to other islands and the mainland but far enough away that it was tranquil and peaceful. There is a supermarket, pharmacy and plenty of restaurants and shops within easy walking distance of the hotel. The hotel was stunning - clean, spacious, beautifully decorated with a lovely pool and garden. The staff were amazing - helpful, polite and friendly. My hotel room was clean, spacious, tastefully decorated and had everything I could possibly need. It also had a verandah with an amazing view. Breakfast was wonderful and lunch and dinners are also available should you require them. This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in and I felt like a princess! I will definitely be returning there next year.Guest review byBonnie YaelIsrael
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 189 reviewsCarrasco Hotel is a true gem. The location is stunning surrounded by nature, with a peaceful garden perfect for working or relaxing. Watching the sunrise from the pool was absolutely spectacular and the private access to the sea made it truly special . The team is warm, attentive & caring .The food was unbelievably tasty, and the whole experience felt both luxurious and authentic. Sicily’s energy is unique, and this place captures it perfectly. I will definitely return. Highly recommended!Guest review byPaolaItaly
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 551 reviewsThe property is beautifully situated on the ocean and is altogether charming with flowering trees, lovely balconies and views of the sea. There is a large pool and a small outdoor gym on the staff are extremely kind and helpful and accommodating. We stayed two nights and would easily have stayed longer. We thought it was one of the loveliest hotels and locations we had ever seen. We would recommend renting a scooter, however, to explore the island to travel to and from the ferry.Guest review byMaddalenaCanada

We got very lucky that they upgraded us to the suite with fabulous view! We were so happy! Everything was perfect. We also tried the sushi restaurant and it was delicious and the service was great too. The shuttle service to the port was much appreciated since it was so hot outside. Wish we stayed longer. It was an AMAZIN stay!Guest review byJohnUnited States

Stromboli is one of a kind to check out an active volcano.
Stromboli is one of a kind to check out an active volcano. It also has surprisingly nice beaches. The island is lacking some tourist infrastructure. There is no place to rent snorkel equipment, for example. Food is a little pricier than mainland but nothing too outrageous.Guest review byBond - 10.0
Incredible wee island.
Incredible wee island. Loved that you could cycle everywhere easily, there were lots of mini adventures to be had e.g. Vulcanello crater, snokelling, Monte Saraceno, Capo Grillo viewpoint & of course the Vulcano crater hike. Lots of great places to eat, cute, off the beaten track feel. We loved how quiet everywhere was in October.Guest review bykatherineUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Mmmmm, absolutely stunning little island, too crowded in august, some visitors disrespectful of island throwing rubbish where ever for example, and of staff in hotel and Restos, a lot of entitled people seem to visit here. Visited specifically to visit Stromboli, long and complicated travel and expensive hotel but happy to pay as Stromboli was to be the highlight. Booked boat trip on last night and was let down by boat company with no apology or attempt to fix and no time to rearrange. Avoid NOLEGGIO GOMMONI la Stefano if you want a professional reliable boat service. Horrible customer serviceGuest review byJacquelineUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Great little village with lots of delicious restaurants ad shops and galleries. Lots of fruit trees and a really cute beach (Spiaggia dello Scario). The village has a small supermarket, and has very good access to the rest of the island via the bus system, or by hiring a car or scooter at the various hire companies in the village.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Rinella in June was very quiet with not many restaurants to choose from. There was one clothes shop, one grocery shop and one tabbachi. If you don’t have a car, ferry, taxi or Citi bus is the only way to get about - or hiking of course. The bus I think is cheapest but we didn’t use it because we were mostly island hopping. 10 minute ride on ferry to Santa Marina Salina seemed expensive for the trip but I think it gets more expensive at certain popular times of the day. This is a quieter, more remote place to do the hopping (with the extra 10 min journey always tagged on the end from Santa Marina) so if you want a little bit more buzz choose one of the other islands or Santa Marina. Personally, we liked the vibe on Vulcano and loved Stromboli. (Stromboli is probably not the best base for island hopping though as it is the furthest one away). Lipari is big and bustling and didn’t feel like island-life but if you like that sort of thing, it’s a great base. On the whole we enjoyed our choice of base at Rinella. It was a good ‘getaway from it all’ place, where we were forced to do extremely little- when not venturing.Guest review byLorraineUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Lots to see and do. Hire a Vespa/car and explore the island.
Lots to see and do. Hire a Vespa/car and explore the island. Lots of places to swim except at the Mariner. The beaches are pebbles/rocks, some are pumice grain but easily manageable. The views from the mountain tops are stunning. Such a great view to Vulcano island. Visit white beach for the day and hire a beach chair and umbrella. The restaurant / bar at white beach is awesome and not expensive. They even have a guy pick you up in a car and chauffeur you down to the beach and a back up. , you’ll need to book. Stay near the marina, restaurant /cafes and shops are so close , easy walking. Ferry terminal Easy ferry ride over to the other Aeolian islands, stay for the day. Walk to the crater on Vulcano or visit Stromboli volcano or just explore other islands on a day trip . Take a tour to the varies grottos. Go to some sea side towns in Sicily or Calabria for the dayThere is so much to do.Guest review byMariaAustralia - 10.0

We walked up the mountain without a guide to around 300 Metres. A tough climb but coming back in the dark is also difficult t pays to have headlamps... we used our cell phone torches which was a bit limiting. The experience and views were breathing taking especially at sunset..Guest review bySalveNew Zealand
