We booked this hotel due to the proximity to the motorway as we were travelling home from Italy to UK via car with our dog. We arrived quite late but the village looked amazing even at night, there was a little bar over the road so we went for a couple of drinks. Upon arrival the staff were wonderful, the owner was waiting outside to greet us and made a fuss of our dog. The hotel vibe is boutique and quirky ( in a very good way ). The standard of design and decor was beautiful and after a good nights sleep we had a lovely breakfast before heading back on the road. We woke to a beautiful view as the hotel is quite high up in the hills. Highly Recommended.

Very cute little hotel, with nice and kind staff. We were staying here for one night with out two year daughter on our way back from Rome. It is a short 30 minites drive from Bologna so we even went to see Bologna next day. Everything was great.

    Very modern on the second floor of an old building. Entrance is a bit hidden but it’s the only door on the one long wall that makes up the street. Uberto is great, arranged to meet and check me in early, provided lots of information on the local area, things to see etc. Rooms are really nice, beds might be firm for some. Didn’t have the breakfast but there are numerous bars and cafes all around. Bologna itself is worth a visit and when I go back I will stay here.

    Very spacious room, all was perfectly clean and tidy. The staff was very welcoming and nice. The hotel is situated in a very nice garden so the views from the rooms are very nice. The hotel is close to the airport but the area is not noisy. A big advantage is that it is very close to suitable public transport connections and within 20 minutes ride you can be in the perfect city center or to the Bologna Fair.

    Will definitely go there again. Even though our stay was really short we saw that the location is really nice. There are a lot of free parking areas, very close to rooms. We didn't even had to ask for a child chair during breakfast, they just brought one while we were getting food. Staff is friendly and always smiling. The location is huge and for sure during summer time it's even better than in March.

    The staff was very accommodating for me as a wheelchair user. They put out a ramp at the entrance and left it there for our entire stay. They set up a place for me to have breakfast without having to go up stairs to the mezzanine level. I had only asked for a ground floor room and they gave me an accessible room. I'd stay there again if I could.

We were 3 people, and we thought that one of us will sleep on the couch, but they turned the couch into a bed, even put an extra matress on it in order to be comfortable.

    A vibrant city, with plenty of history, living up to its reputation as a city of food. Good value eating and drinking wherever you look and some superb food shops. Easy to walk around, plenty of museums and churches if in search of culture. We took a couple of guided tours which were great for orientation.

Despite welcoming over 240,000 spectators for the Grand Prix, if you ventured off the beaten path, you could still find quiet streets and charming corners to enjoy in peace.     We usually stop in Sasso Marconi on our way to the South of Italy from Germany. La Quercia is closed to the motorway, still in a quiet area, on the hills. We dined at Osteria dei Sani in Sasso Marconi, 8 min drive from la Quercia, very good. The property accommodated my request to have a take-away breakfast, since we had to resume our journey early in the morning. I really appreciated it. The room was clean, spacious and fully equipped.

    It's a rather remote, quiet town.

    It's a rather remote, quiet town. Nothing to draw one to except quiet and near the Bologna airport. I ended up choosing to heat up a packaged curry/rice meal from the supermarket, as the only other choice (since I didm't have a car) was a pizzeria.

    It was perfect for what we wanted as a family of 3.

    It was perfect for what we wanted as a family of 3. We were travelling from the north to the south and used it as an overnight stop. It was very rural and peaceful which we liked, and Emanuela was very helpful in arranging a table at the local Osteria. They have horses there and a very friendly dog called Missy, who was a great favourite with my daughter. If you want an overnight stop during your holiday I'd highly recommend it.

    I just slept and got breakfast & dinner because I was busy away, so generally I arrived late afternoon and left early morning. Please note it is winter and not the best period to walk around and make discoveries.

    There are lots of road works being done at the moment, many of them seem to be for the tram line. I'm not sure how long this is gonna last but I'm sure a visit to Bologna would be much better after the construction sites have cleared up. It also seemed less packed with tourists than Firenze (Florence), prices in the historic centre are still high but the people are definitely more local.

    We loved the town, it is lively enough, with restaurants, cafes and shops, but less touristy than Bologna which we had visited before that. We felt much safer and relaxed here in Imola. We enjoyed the walk in the historical centre, a visit to the Duomo, walking in the Acque Minerali park. Unfortunately, the fortress was closed for reconstruction at the time but we observed it at least from the outside and learned about its history from a very useful app. It's called VisitARe Imola app and we loved it, it's exactly what you need for individual sightseeing of the city and the surroundings. The kids enjoyed having a look at the Imola circuit and driving in the simulators. And other sights in the region are within a reasonable driving distance. The closest is Dozza, which we felt in love with but also a longer trip to San Marino and Rimini was absolutely worth it. And strangely perhaps, we liked the walk around the Piratello cemetery. It is really impressive and even more so in the time of our visit - just two days before All Saints' Day.

    Sasso Marconi is very small and quiet I didn't have time to fully explore but getting around on foot or by car is easy enough. Getting in and out from other towns is a different story, if you don't use Italian Telepass you can only exit from the autostrada at the south of the city and cannot enter the autostrada at all. If you're heading north, look forward to at least an hour of heavy traffic on the strada statale and Bologna's ring road before getting away.
