We stayed near the marina which made ferry travel very easy.
We stayed near the marina which made ferry travel very easy. Amazing food. Very, very busy. Unfortunately had to use a wheelchair, was difficult and stressful at times. Overall a good base but likely to explore outwith the city for a slightly less busy experience. Many ‘wheelchair accessible’ areas were blocked by vehicles or elevators broken. Sorrento and must see!Guest review byDanielleUnited Kingdom - 10.0
First time in Sorrento and always been on my list.
First time in Sorrento and always been on my list. Great place to explore Italian coast. Boat trips to Capri and Positano excellent. Train to Pompeii for tour was excellent. Love the town of Sorrento, busy and lots of tourists but somehow feels leisurely. People polite and restaurants excellent and good value with a range catering from budget to expensive, but all value for money. Loved it!Guest review byStuartUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Ischia is a great island for vacation - there are many sandy beaches, spectacular views, a lot of greenery and of course delicious food. It is not difficult to go around the island by car. The roads are narrow and with many turns, and many people are driving motorbikes which makes driving difficult but you can survive:) People are very friendly and calm. The food is amazing, especially pasta in any form! The island is easy to reach - the are ferries from Naples, about an hour from there. Highly recommend Ischia to visit!Guest review byIvankaBulgaria - 10.0

The old town of Salerno is well worth exploring with cobbled streets and hidden passageways. Excellent food options. There’s a nice wide pedestrian promenade along the Marina to walk up to old town. The port has ferries to take trips to the Amalfi coast. We went to Amalfi and got the bus up to Ravello (on our host’s recommendation). Make sure you buy your bus ticket before catching the bus. Ravello is stunning - up high with views along the coast.Guest review byChrisUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Capri is great to explore via taxi, get up early and head up to Ana Capri, less traffic more intimate area. The chair lift is a must to the top of the mountain, and lunch up top of the mountain is amazing. Capri is nice in the evenings to walk around and shop with plenty of places to get cocktails, and explore.Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0
The steps everywhere were a challenge.
The steps everywhere were a challenge. The biggest disappointment was the huge amount of tourists. It was like visiting a festival or Disneyland. There were a couple restaurants that were quite good. My adult daughter enjoyed her hikes; one in Amalfi behind cemetery & other in Altara(?). I'm sure it's easy to get around without the maddening crowd; but it was a turnoff upon arrival to face this, so unexpected. I was there to try and find some information on descendants, but man in office wouldn't help me, kept saying "no capice," and shooed me out of there.Guest review byPLW - 6.0

Beautiful place with unreal views. Paths of Gods is a must. Rent a Vespa to maximise your experience and visiting nearby towns. Be prepared to be completely ripped off for everything, food, drink is ridiculously expensive.Guest review byRoss - 10.0

Transport links, especially the trains were cheap and easy to find and allowed easy travel to Salerno, Sorrento and Herculaneum. Pompeii archeological site was only a 10 minute walk from our B&B and was a great experience. The train to Salerno was only €2.50 and a short walk took you to the harbour where we took a boat trip to Amalfi, Positano and Sorrento. The train back to pompei was busy but only took half an hour and again was around €2.50. Unforgettable experienceGuest review byMarkUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Caserta is a pleasant ordinary town.
Caserta is a pleasant ordinary town. The Royal Palce is jaw dropping and it is a 8E return train ride from Naples. With a car, there are many fantastic Roman sites and a spectacular coastline within 30k. The town has quite a number of excellent Pizza restaurants, all competitively priced.Guest review bypaulUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The city is medium and what I don't like but this looks to be Italian style, they close the shops/stores to early ( about 20:30 ) ; for me a place on the sea cost acting like this is unusual !Guest review byPANTEA
