Busy vibrant city.
Busy vibrant city. Plenty to do & see as well as gorgeous squares for a coffee & some people watching. Well worth a visit & we will be returning. The underground Naples trip so worth doing, a visit to Procida also worth doing, easy hydrofoil trip. Quick train ride to Herculaneum, definitely worth a visit. Not too busy but plenty to see - we used Get Your Guide for the tour. Naples is totally walkable. You can eat pretty much anywhere tbh. Best pizza was Gino & Toto Sorbillo (main restaurant) astonishingly yummy 😋Guest review byMirandaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Sorrento is not a beach holiday there is lots of walking involved the local buses and trains are a good way to get around. A beautiful part of the world and would recommend visiting other areas of Italy , Positano, Almalfi, Capri . Enjoyed Cucu bar the food was great and the staff. Our favourite was bar Ercolano which is situated in Piazza Tasso the staff and food were greatGuest review bySteveUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Ischia is a great island for vacation - there are many sandy beaches, spectacular views, a lot of greenery and of course delicious food. It is not difficult to go around the island by car. The roads are narrow and with many turns, and many people are driving motorbikes which makes driving difficult but you can survive:) People are very friendly and calm. The food is amazing, especially pasta in any form! The island is easy to reach - the are ferries from Naples, about an hour from there. Highly recommend Ischia to visit!Guest review byIvankaBulgaria - 10.0

Great city to enjoy southern Italy and the coast line of Amalfi. A nice main headquarters for day trips to Amalfi ( town ); Positano, Capri; Pompeii and the British Commonwealth Cemetary there. Take the ferry(ies) a few times to enjoy the Sea, the views and some fresh air. Take the Coastal Muni Bus ( slightly higher fare than a city bus ) to get the snot scared out of you by the curves, narrow roads and Great Italian Drivers! The views of the coast line and mountains are wonderful! PS: don't buy too many lemon centric items/ souvenirs!Guest review byChristopherUnited States - 6.0
Capri is a beautiful island, but mass tourism means that you...
Capri is a beautiful island, but mass tourism means that you may not enjoy your stay as you would have liked, specially after paying the money to be there (which is not cheap!). Beaches are beautiful but overcrowded, buses services are good but also overcrowded and you may wait a lot to take a bus (or taxi). Be careful with the roads, do not take them by foot, think it's dangerous so go by bus or taxi up to Capri. I saw a woman falling and getting hurt. Be careful. Another thing is that there is no luggage storage at the port (or in the island) that allow you to leave your stuff overnight. They are for a few hours only. This was very bad for us as we ended up taking our heavy suitcase to our B&B and it was difficult. If we had known that the luggage storage facilities were so basic, we would have avoid the island completely. Shocking, considering the money that the council get from tourist. They should be treated better! A piece of advice for anyone wanting to take the ferry to/from the islands, if you have time to organise yourself, then go first to the port and ask carefully where to buy tickets and where to get them (specially in Naples!), to avoid what happened to us, that we ended up going from one place to another under a hot sun, carrying a suitcase. That was not enjoyable!. Also, don't arrive too early for the ferry, it's not worth it, the first customers are those who end up being sent from one place to anohter (under the sun), are those who end up paying the suitcase fee and those who end up waiting in the sun longer. Better to arrive 5-10 minutes before the time (if you already have a ticket). Think that the place they told you to wait for the ferry may change last minute. The tour of the island by boat is nice, but nicer if you can get one that lets you swim too.Guest review byAndreaFabiana71United Kingdom - 8.0
The accommodation and ability to access great day trips (...
The accommodation and ability to access great day trips (Pompeii, walking the path of the Gods, visit other towns along the coast, cookery course etc) was brilliant and made for a great holiday. We did find that the whole coast was packed with tourists and when the cruise ships came in, this was much worse. The local buses were very good, and cheap, and enabled us to achieve everything we wanted to.Guest review bySallyUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Positano was fantastic.
Positano was fantastic. We enjoyed great restaurants and shopping. The incredible views will stay in my mind for the rest of my life. We had easy access to boats heading to Capri, which is a “must add” trip you should fit in to your plans. The beach’s are loaded with stone and you must have water shoes to get into the water. We were always at ease with the relaxing vibe that surrounded us. My wife and I will strongly recommend Positano to anyone thinking of heading that way. It is truly magical. Our 2 best meals were at “The Mediterrano” and “ La Taglia, we enjoyed them both equally.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

the Pompeii ruins and its history was amazing added knowledge that i was not aware of. The displays were awesome and able to visualize how not see how civilization perished but also how it survived from its destruction. recommend taking a tour guide vs self walk ,unless ONE is an Historian and knowledgeable of its history in the period of civilization. The nearby eating area a little pricy...but if you have car ,try to go Centro and prices are more moderate. very busy spot ....and don't know when it is best to visit.Guest review bycarloCanada - 8.0
Caserta is a pleasant ordinary town.
Caserta is a pleasant ordinary town. The Royal Palce is jaw dropping and it is a 8E return train ride from Naples. With a car, there are many fantastic Roman sites and a spectacular coastline within 30k. The town has quite a number of excellent Pizza restaurants, all competitively priced.Guest review bypaulUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Anacapri is way quieter than Capri.
Anacapri is way quieter than Capri. I see that as a good thing. Anacapri gets busy during the day with all the day trippers... Thanks to the gondola, Blue grotto etc. But once they leave... that's when Anacapri shines. We loved the quiet evenings, the amazing sunsets, the now empty swimming holes... Loved it!Guest review byAndreUnited States
