- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very Good - What previous guests thought, 502 reviews- the location : near Matterhorn(Cervinia-italian)-4478m , lake Goillet ( a trail around it's really worth it: beautiful views with mountains all around); cable car that has here a intermediate point to the maximum peak point of Europe - Klein Matterhorn(3883m); from Breuil-Cervinia(2000m) to Plan Maison(2550m), after to next intermediate station Laghi(2884m), next station Plateau Rosa(3500m) , here you cross the border to Switzerland and take the cable to Klein Matterhorn(3883m). - the station Plan Maison it's inside the hotel and the cable car ride from Breuil-Cervinia was free (for guests); - the personal was very friendly and helpful, on the 3 points that I intersect them: reception-restaurant-welness; many thanks for your kind hosting, really nice persons; - renovate room/bathroom(I liked that looks very good; nice view from the bed to Klein Matterhorn; - spa was exceeding our expectations: sauna/ jacuzzi but what I really like was the cold shower from the bucket above the shower-perfect; this was also included in the price, only need in the morning to put your room on a list; period was 30min; - because of the comments that I read were so-so, after having myself all the experiences described above, this hotel exceed my expectations, so definitely I recommend it(it's not high class, but the power of location boost over the fancy style that some persons want).Guest review byNickkosRomania

The hotel is walking distance from the Cervinia ski cable and restaurants, shops. We had a 2 bedroom, 1 bath unit and it came with a fridge/mini bar that can be stocked on request and TV in each bedroom. The beds were large and comfortable and the bedrooms were spacious with a lot of moving space and views to the mountains. The bathroom is modern clean, spacious and stocked for a multi day/night stay. We had breakfast and the bread, cheese and cold cut meat was tasty and so fresh that I am still longing to go back. Ladies at the front desk were welcoming and friendly. They seem to be the family that owns the hotel and were helpful with local recommendations. The location is exquisite - in the beautiful valley at the base of the Matterhorn (Cervino); ask for a room with THAT view. They accommodate pets. But it all starts with the staff - all with excellent attention to details, helpful and friendly. Go to their bar and sample cocktails at the huge lobby fireplace or outside. It is a skiing apartment, not exaclty for couples. The village and the nature are butiful, Alpine style, not less than expected. A bar is few steps away, Cervinia is 5 minutes by car, parking is in front of the house. Unfortunatelly, we didn't meet the host, but they gave us proper instructions and directions, so we didn't have any difficulties finding it and getting accomodated. Such a beautiful town!
Such a beautiful town! I felt like I had a much better spot than the other little towns nearby just because of the ease of access to the Matterhorn hiking area. I just walked out my door and it was right there, no driving necessary. I loved Valtournenche!
I loved Valtournenche! This is a small to medium village in the mountains. Lovely atmosphere when walking through the village. Tourist Information Centre for the village and surrounding area available. Plenty of restaurants /cafes to choose from and even a cheese factory! Nice little village with lovely people and a couple of nice places to eat in the day and early evening. The shop was open most of the week and had a good range even though it was small. There was plenty of parking in the carpark for our car (and a great price for the week) at the bottom of the cable car which ran every half an hour from 7:30am to 10:30pm. Good value tickets for the two of us for 10 rides each which is all we needed for our week's holiday. The walks from Chamois were really lovely although quite hard going up and down the mountains which were quite steep but worth the views from the top. In season you can get a chair lift but we liked the challenge!! One week was plenty for us, we had a fab time and glad it wasn't too hot for our walks.Guest review bySimonUnited Kingdom - 8.0

It is a cute little ski resort best for the family with small children or beginner skier. There were less people on weekdays so we did not wait for a lift at all. Driving 30-40mins you can get to the Cervino ski paradise. You will find the hotel much cheaper in Torgnon. Wonderful skiing holiday.
Wonderful skiing holiday. If you haven’t a car then there is a timetable for shuttle buses to take you you to the lifts and the town. They are a public service so have a set route and designated stops. There is Only one supermarket ( in the town). Whilst ample for us it has limited supplies and shuts between 12.30 and 15.30, however fine for us on a limited budget.
