    The view was amazing. The staff were so helpful and kind-Monica was particularly helpful...I was able to swim in the lake daily.. The rowboats were fun and the boat staff were helpful. The beauty of the setting is beyond words. The reflection of the mountains and trees in the turquoise water was breathtaking and constantly changing. The restaurant staff, including Ali and Elias and Simon and the housekeeping team, including Janna, were all excellent. The reception staff including Monica and Massimo were lovely. The folkst at the store, especially Roberto, were very kind and they carry good quality gifts. The owners have gone out of their way to honor the history, heritage, and traditions of the space while at the same creating a wonderful hotel in a amazing setting.

    We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Almhof. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and hospitable, making us feel at home right away. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, and every detail was taken care of with genuine care. The views from the hotel are simply breathtaking — waking up to such a stunning landscape was truly unforgettable. On top of that, the location is excellent, right next to key attractions and beautiful mountain trails, making it the perfect starting point for hikes and explorations. Combined with the comfortable rooms and overall charm of the place, our experience was nothing short of perfect. I would definitely recommend Hotel Almhof to anyone looking for both relaxation and authentic hospitality in a beautiful setting.

    Blown away that any reviews are less than 5 stars. We absolutely LOVED our time at Skyview Chalets. Everyone was beyond accommodating, kind, and helpful. The chalet itself was spotless and energy efficient. You can tell it’s all brand new and so well done. We did the upgrade for the jacuzzi and found it to be so worth it! We went in between hikes and every night before bed. It’s a great home base location to explore the area. We really couldn’t have been happier!! Lake Dobbiaco was a pleasant surprise, too, as it was even more beautiful than we anticipated. 10/10

    Dobbiaco is a really beautiful town.

    Dobbiaco is a really beautiful town. There is a train station for trips to other nearby towns or into Austria. The bus service is excellent. You can go for hikes up the Dolomites and reach the famous three peaks. So much to do. The drinking water is amazing.

    Extremely touristy but also extremely beautiful. The lake struggles with too many cars and too many visitors. We were able to get a special pass to parking because we were actually staying in the valley which is preferable but expensive.

    Can't say much about it, really, because our main goal was skiing, so we spent most of the time in Kronplatz, which is just 10 min away by train (station Percha). But we find time for a walk in Villabassa center and also had a great dinner at Emma restaurant (if I remember correctly the name), Overall, it's a quite clean town, which should be even nicer in the warmer periods of the year.

    Nice village, easy to stroll around - few shops, caffees, restaurant available. Great for cross country skiing - Dobbiaco is linked with all neighbour villages and long distance trails are also starting from here. Easy access by car and skibus to 3Zinnen ski lifts.

    If you're looking for a nice calm and quite mountain village, with good local restaurants and close distance to the best attractions in the Dolomites than San Candido is for you. The surroundings are turly breathtaking, unique natural heritage of this world. Recommend to have a car to drive around, absolutely necessary.

There is not much in the center of Sesto, It feels like a passing route rather than a village, unlike San Candido where there are shops and cafes and restaurants. None of that in Sesto. Good place to stay if you want to hike around and nothing else. I think I would rather stay in San Candido or Villabassa next time. If you stay in Sesto make sure you stay at a hotel that serves breakfast and dinner. If you have an apartment you will need to cook as there is no good restaurant option.

    Braies is very beautiful location, nice lake, good parking...

    Braies is very beautiful location, nice lake, good parking and food. It us better to come in the morning, because of changing wheather and a lot of tourists. The boat renting is expensive 50€/person/ 1/2 hour.

    A small what seemed to be more local town, which I liked.

    A small what seemed to be more local town, which I liked. Only a handful of restaurants with unpredictable hours as google was sometimes wrong. Not a reason to not stay here though, really enjoyed the town and the lack of tourists.
