Genoa is a bit of a weird city, where you can change the vibe in 20 meters. From ancient palaces, to small no-so-nice streets, to large poshy street, to traditional place to eat and share with local people. It actually takes some times to get used to it, but it is definitely lovely and lively.Guest review byThomas WuilleminFrance - 10.0

La Spezia is a lovely town with lots of good bars and restaurants. We based our selves here to travel to Cinque Terre by train and also to Port de Venere. I would recommend and like to visit againGuest review byEdelIreland - 2.0
Sanremo city itself is very disappointing.
Sanremo city itself is very disappointing. Streets and sea promenade are very dirty, stinky and overcrowded, sea is green, polluted, swimming caused allergies on my skin. The air in the city is extremely polluted as well: a lot of bikes and cars, very stressful. Food in the restaurants is not tasty, average, in some of them it is impossible to eat at all. I don't recommend to visit Sanremo to anyone, because it is waste of money, spoiled vacation, for a crazy big price.Guest review byKate - 10.0
The biggest (?)
The biggest (?) of the Cinque Terre towns with far more to do and see than the others. Confusingly split into two, connected by a pedestrian tunnel. The only downside was that weather conditions stopped the ferries (and boat trips) running.Guest review byMichaelUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Rapallo was fine but just to say a few more words about the hotel: the staff was very gracious, they even let us use some plates one day to have a lovely picnic outside and hooked us up with ice and glasses and things to enjoy our summer feast outdoors. They were so wonderful! They have created so much beauty on their property for guests to enjoy! It was truly lovely. I felt like I was in paradise! Rapallo was just OK for me. It seemed touristy and the food in town was my least favorite of my trip. Like they didn't care much about the quality of food they are serving the tourists. I get it, but it was just not very thrilling. But that's the effects of tourism. I was also surprised to learn that the beaches cant be accessed by everyone, as in the US. However, it is a beautiful town, the shops, bakeries, culinary stores are nice and I enjoyed them.Guest review byCarrieUnited States - 10.0
Levanto was the best place to anchor a visit to Cinque Terre...
Levanto was the best place to anchor a visit to Cinque Terre. After visiting each of the small towns, we found Levanto to be a good place to return to in the evenings. Being a bigger town, there were a lot more options available for everything: groceries, restaurants, beach, gelato!, laundry, etc. It was a very friendly family centered community. Kids were out playing every day, people were riding bikes, and the town square was always busy with activity. It was just absolutely charming.Guest review bySusanUnited States - 10.0
It was not as hectic as some nearby villages.
It was not as hectic as some nearby villages. But had easy access to the Cinque Terre by the train pass. Beautiful & clean. Lively atmosphere in the evening. Prices were a bit more reasonable as well.Guest review byRussellAustralia - 10.0
We loved the beach which was directly across the road.
We loved the beach which was directly across the road. We ate at the beach and it was good food. We mostly stayed at the beach most of the day and we appreciated the parking at the hotel. We loved playing in the water and just relaxing at the beach for the day. The hotel was a convenient location and was very clean and the host was very friendly and helpful.Guest review byNathan - 10.0
Lovely town with many shops, restaurants and plenty to do.
Lovely town with many shops, restaurants and plenty to do. The beach and the sea looked very inviting even in winter! Easy to walk around and we found it very easy to visit nearby towns using trains which are reasonably priced and comfortable. Not easy to park near the centre, but there are several car parks for a reasonable hourly rate.Guest review byClaudiaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Beautiful landscapes, unique location. Top many visitors.

Restaurant food quite expensive.recommend taking the ferry to see all the villages from a different perspective. The train is a great way to hop from village to villageGuest review byMartinNew Zealand
